Firstly let me say that this is an excellent phone and by far the best I have ever owned. Furthermore, I've been on 3 for a couple of years now and this is the first 3rd generation phone that I've seen which is actually worth owning, and is better than the equivilent 2nd generation models.
The basics of this phone are precisely what you would expect from a nokia; excellent sound quality during calls, easy to use menus and all of the other features that originally served to make them market leaders.
Upon getting this phone the first thing that I was struck by was the quality of the screen. Previously I had been using a NEC e616 handset, on which the screen was good enough to watch videos, but this handset is in a different league entirely. The detail is fantastic and as an added bonus you can turn it on its side and watch on a far larger screen. This makes 3's services such as free news headline and football actually worth using.
The web browser is pretty good, although I havnt used it much as 3's 'ring fenced' content is free and usually sufficient.
If you're into taking photos with your phone the camera on this one is pretty good, although don't be fooled into thinking that a 2MP phone will take photos as well as a 2MP digital camera. In light conditions that photos it takes are really excellent, but it can't really cope with inside or low light, even with the flash on. However due to the large screen the viewer is excellent, and it really feels like you're using a proper digital camera.
The only serious disadvantage I have found is the way in which dust builds up under the screen. This is particularly annoying as there doesn't seem to be a way to remove it, and it obsures the picture in daylight conditions. Other than that I guess you could say the battery life isn't too good, but its better than the other 3g handsets I've had by a mile. Also the build quality feels a little weak, but well see what it's like after 10 months.
All in all I would recommend this phone to anyone who is thinking of making the jump to 3g - It really is worth it!
