I recently got the nokia 6300silver black as an upgrade from o2 at the carphone warehouse. So far there have been no problems, and it is very easy to get used to using.
***memory*** If your phone does not come with a memory card, I would definitely recommend buying one, as the internal memory in the phone is very poor, especially if you intend to use the phone for music and high quality photos. The memory card (microSD) is very easy to insert and remove from the phone, but is locked securely under the back cover, so there is no worry about it falling out.
***radio*** unlike any of the mobile phones that I have previously owned, the nokia 6300 has a radio. This feature allows up to 20 stations to be programmed into the memory of the phone, so that you can quickly swap between a selection of your favourite stations. Either a compatible headset or enhancement must be plugged into the phone for it to be able to work as a radio, as this provides the antenna. I found this a bit frustrating at first, as it means having to remember to take the headset out with you, if you intend to use the phone for the radio.
***music player*** One of the major features of any phone that I buy must be the music player, as it is one of the principle ways in which I use my phone, second only to texting constantly! The quality of the loudspeaker is very good, and the music is organised into many categories, such as artist, album, recently played, recently added, etc. This allows you to easily browse through music files, which I find very useful.
***camera*** The nokia 6300 has a 2mp camera. In comparison with my previous phone, the quality so far is amazing, as my old mobile was only 1.3mp. Although 2mp is now not one of the best, if you do not hope to use the phone primarily for taking excellent quality pictures, it is definitely satisfactory. One problem with the camera is that it does not have a flash, although there is a "night mode" for taking a picture in dim lighting.
***computer link*** With my phone, there was a CD which is installed on the computer to allow data transfer between the phone and the PC. I found it very easy to install, and the simplicity of it amazed me when I started using the software! It is managed into sections so that you can transfer music, or synchronise addresses and phone numbers, or save pictures from phone to computer, and vice versa.
This is only a selection of the many features of the phone, but these are the ones that stood out to me as features that any mobile phone should now have. It may not be the latest phone on the market, but I'm sure that it could give many of the newest models a run for their money!!
