Nokia 6300
Over the past five years, mobile market got maximum growth and many new players of this market entered in this competition as well.
After having huge success in all category of mobile phone, sometime earlier phone manufacturer companies battled for slim design with more featured phone in market. As a result Nokia has announced its featured 'Nokia 6300' phone in last quarter of 2006. This phone got better customer response overall due to its solid construction and featured design with slim body.
***
I will discuss here some advantages and disadvantages of this phone also. First of having close look on its design abbot size and weight, it is measured 106.4 x 43.6 x 11.7 mm, and the main considerable point is that the thickness of the phone is 11.7mm and it is considered as slim design and other dimensions also not so bad, means overall construction is handy and pockatable. And how can we ignore its weight... ohh sure it having 91gm of total weight, if we think about my previous review of nokia 2630, that is also slim design and having weight of 61gm, but 91gm is not so bad because featured phone can go up to this type of weight but still it is handy and pockatable.
***
Network coverage of this phone have all GSM frequency capable like GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900, and that is all available GSM frequency all over the world so the phone is able to rock in all directions.
Now the another main feature is its screen size and resolution 240 x 320 pixels, in inches it is 2.0 inches diagonally, or counted in mm as 31 x 41 mm with 16 million of colors. Now the maximum medium budget phone has this kind of screen and that is not bad at all. 16 million colors screen can provide better visual result with multimedia and text also.
***
Now coming with memory capacity of the phone in terms of internal and external, this phone has not sufficient internal memory of about 7 Mb and as an external it has micro sd card slot of up to 2GB of carrying capacity. Middle range phone have almost up to 2Gb of storage capacity but now a days it is not sufficient for some peoples who wants more storage for multimedia, music and videos. But as my opinion there is not any bad having 2GB of memory, because there is lots of music variety available but how much is our favorite?.. I think about 2GB. Or many people like to listen only new songs and latest music so that at that purpose it is also sufficient.
***
And if we consider connectivity solution than it has all important feature like GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB. There is time for 3G but in middle range phone none of companies are providing 3G facility in cheap phone. If you rely wants to go for 3G featured phone than pay some extra for that.
***
Camera
Camera is a main feature in mobile phones but the low pixels cameras are providing bad result and there is no mean of it, I think up to 2 megapixel camera are worthless. And this phone also has 2 Megapixel cameras, never recommended for this feature. But in middle range 3.2 MP camera are more common.
The FM radio is a another good feature in this camera having capacity of playing stereo sound and about all phones having this feature as a stereo in middle range and mono in budget range.
***
Battery capacity is not good but it is sufficient, Standard battery with 860 mAh capacity(BL-4C), nokia claiming about 3 hors of talktime and it is ok in that manner.
***
Over all conclusions...
On slim choice with adequate feature with middle range phone it is acceptable having good features, but at some points it should be improved like camera pixels should be increase to 3MP or above and battery capacity should be more than 1000mah than it will be perfect middle range phone.

I have this phone ( well this is one of the phones that I am using at the moment ) and I find it to be a very good phone indeed... I agree that the battery power is a small problem although I have it plugged in to charge whilst driving. The radio I listen to every evening as I am about to go to sleep and the depth of sound is perfect. Well reviewed. Thanks. J.
