I have had Nokia mobiles ever since I lost my first ever phone (a Siemens C35). And I love them. I really enjoy the new range of features and improved usability each time that Nokia bring out a new phone. And this is no exception.
I was given this phone by Orange after two 6600s died, one after the other. And I was mightily pissed off with Orange and Nokia. So much so, that I almost chose to go with another brand.
From the moment I took it out of the box, I was sure I was going to enjoy this phone. It looks FANTASTIC. It's wonderful to hold - not too bulky, not too small. And has so many excellent features - you can't fail to be impressed.
The cameras are both excellent, and the inclusion of the flash makes night-time photos easy to take. No more telling people to hold still while you try and photograph them with night mode. I haven't made a 3G video call yet, but when I do, I hope I will be equally impressed.
It plays mp3s! Hoorah! This is a feature I have been looking for, for a LONG time. Why carry around an iPod and a phone, when you can have the same functions on one device!? Sound quality when playing through speakerphone is around 7.5-8/10, but through the headphones that come in the box, the quality is wonderful! Great range of frequencies, fantastic crispness and volume.
My only complaint is, that when I stepped on it (yes, stupid, I know!) - the screen cover immediately smashed. So I have taken one point off for robustness. However, the rest of the phone was fine. I purchased a nice new cover, and now everything is dandy again!
WAP is great, and all the other 3G/GPRS services are FAB. So useful - especially e-mail on the move. It also features office-type applications, and endless other things that you really need to experience yourself to appreciate. Needless to say, I heartily recommend this phone. You will not be disappointed.

I'm torn between this and the Sony Ericsson K600i for my next phone so if you do edit and add more detail please let me know. Lynn

For an upgrade to 'very helpful' you could add details of battery life, ease of use of keyboard, size of memory etc - but a helpful review from someone who has other Nokia experience to compare with - Trevor
Advantages: Does what a mobile phone was always supposed to do...and more besides Disadvantages: Not quite as flashy as some phones...so friends won't be impressed at first glance
