Nokia 7250i-the good, the... |
|---|
I decided to upgrade my new phone, the old Nokia 3330 at Christmas. After telling my parents I wanted a new one, they bought me a Nokia 7250i. At first I was obviously delighted, but was knocked somewhat by my friend stating it was, in all truths, 'rubbish'. However, I begged to differ.
Below, I have written a review on how I personally view the phone, and not all the confusing technical stuff!
Pros:
Overall, the design is good. It isn't as flashy as some of the more expensive phones, but it is small and compact. The buttons are easy to use, although I would warn people with large hands and fingers it may annoy them a little.
It is very light and compact, which is very handy as you can fit it in your bag when you go out, or in your pocket.
It also has a good colour screen, with the option of changing the colour of the lettering and display.
There are removable fascias for the phone, which I find a big advantage because if you get scratches on your cover, you can easily change and it is not too expensive as they are available from local markets.
The overall layout of the phone is very good.
Overall, I give the actual design of the phone a 7/10
Battery life:Pros
I think this is one very big advantage of the 7250i, I find that it lasts for a very long time and only takes around 2 hours for mien to fully charge, if not less time!
Overall, I give this a 10/10; I do not find anything wrong with the battery life!
Now to the most important bit, the features!
The Nokia 7250i has many features, so I will talk about them individually; One handy little feature is the 'Go to' button. This enables you to get to your most used feature of the phone, such as messaging or radio, quickly.
Caller id:This allows me to take a picture of someone in my phonebook and putting their picture with their number, so that if they ring me, I can see straight away who it is. Although you can still see who the caller is through writing, I find this must easier and more fun, as you can put whatever picture of them you want!
Radio:Pros:
Once I found out this phone had a radio, I was really pleased. However, I did not realise that new phones now had mp3 players. But the prices of those phones are usually much more than that of the 7250i.
The quality of the radio is good and a big advantage is that you can save the settings for channels and name them. It stores up to 20 of these, so you do not have top bother finding your favourite channels!
Cons:Overall, I give the radio an 7/10
WAP GPRS-A handy little feature.Cons;
The pages are hard to filter through and some of the pages that load take a long-time.
Compared to newer phones, the WAP is not of the best quality out there, but still is handy for a brief look. I would recommend someone who used WAP a lot to possibly not buy this phone as they could get a better quality of WAP service. But for me, I do not use it too often and find it handy if I do need it.
Camera!
Pros:The quality of the camera is okay. Too be honest, I do not use my camera as much as I thought I would. At first, I used it nearly all the time, probably because it was my first phone with a camera, but after about a month, I began to use it less and less.
Cons-However, as I said before, if you are not particularly bothered about having absolutely brilliant and excellent quality photos, then it is fine.
Overall I give the camera a 6/10, its easy to use but the quality is not the bestMessaging
Pros;Overall, I give it 8/10
Infrared-Gallery and photos:
Pros;Cons;
Although there is the option of editing pictures, there are not that many options available and can get boring.
Games:
Pros-Cons-
It would have been better with more games, but many other phones have either none or worst games.
Calendar.
Cons-
The noise is somewhat annoying, but at least it gets your attention!
The Nokia 7250i also has other features such as:
· Calculator
· Countdown timer,
These are both easy to use and although I do not sue these that often, they are handy.

Lots of well laid-out info so its easy to read and understand. I think your review is great but after my last experience of Nokia (the battery had to be replaced three times- once because it completely died and wouldn't charge!) i'll stick to sony erricssons or samsungs!
