I recently upgraded my phone as my old one was going on the blink all the time. I went into the 02 shop and decided on this model as it looked like a stylish phone.
When you slide the phone down it fades and becomes a mirrored surface. It has a built in radio, and it has the familiar nokia menu display. The main criticism is that it can be hard to hear the caller speaking, it has voice dialling, and an MP3 player, and it comes with a usb lead that plugs into the phone so you can easily transfer music, video and photo files. The camera is 3.2 megapixels and takes very good pictures, as yet I haven't taken any videos so I can't comment on the quality, it also has a fm radio, which the headphones come. This is one criticism I have of all nokia phones with radio, you have to the headphones plugged in for the radio to work, yet you can ...

In my opinion this phone is quite attractive, and small enough to easily to fit in a pocket. It has a slide mechanism which reveals the keypad underneath. I have found the main menu is easy enough to navigate around, with all the normal Nokia icons, you can't go far wrong.
I have a black version with a blue square around the main button, personally I was a little disappointed in this particular colour scheme as there are a variety of different versions on the market, eg, black with electric pink.
The phone has good reception, however I wish that the microsphone/ loudspeaker was a bit better, as I personally find if I put a caller on loudspeaker, they comment that I sound like I am underwater, or very distant, although I am almost shouting at the caller to be heard. Advantages: Easy to use, Gorgeous phone, amazing features. Disadvantages: As the keyboard is small it is hard to find some symbols, screen glares the light.
At first I was taken back by the Nokia N97. It is full of applications which is fantastic, but I wasn't used to the world of touch screen. Two weeks on its a doddle. I actually use the touch screen option when texting etc over the keyboard.
I have transferred (very easily) loads of music and photos to it and the applications for playing music and viewing photos is fantastic. I mostly use my phone to go on the internet (mainly Facebook) and I have got to say it is much easier than fireing up the laptop and the handset is far better than the Nokia's I have had before (recently Nokia N95 8GB)
The Ovi store is brilliant for downloading widgets and games etc. I have had great fun so far with that.
