This is the latest phone i've bought from Nokia as i tend to like their 8xxx series and this was no exception. It hasn't been out for very long and the price wasn't too expensive so i decided to buy it sim free from the net. I have owned the Nokia 8800 which was a nice phone but the battery life and the camera were both no very good so i sold that on. I then got the Nokia 8800 Sirocco which was a good phone but i got slightly bored with it and decided to sell that on too for a profit(the battery still wasn't great either).
However, when i received it i was pleasently surprised, the phone comes in a very presentable box like the 8800 and 8800 sirocco but there you get more accessories with it.
In the box you receive the phone,2 manuals, carry pouch, charger,cd,cleaning cloth, usb cable, earphones for the radio and a small keychain accessory.
I'd say that the Nokia 8600 Luna is one of the most beautiful phones that Nokia have ever brought out. The highly diserable black finish and the when you use the phone give you a clear indication that this is a well made and robust phone. A lot of the phone is made from stainless steel which makes it quite exclusive.
In terms of features, The phone comes with a 2 megapixel camera which takes excellent quality photos and has a digital zoom which is very handy. It also has various options to customise pictures and you also get a video recording function on it too. There is also the nightmode which allows you to take pics at night when the light isn't as good however it still isn't quite the same taking pics at night with this mode as it is if you take them during the day.
As with all modern Nokia phones, you can customise your menu and there are many features such as a media player, radio with FM,games,GPRS,voice dialling, speed dialling, profiles and the list goes on and on. This phone is also quadband whcih will allow you to use it anywhere in the world (providing there is network coverage of course)
Other useful features which are handy are the organiser which is perfect for work/leisure, currency converter and a world clock.
Battery life on this phone is much better than on the 8800 and 8800 sirocco and reception is also much better too as the previous models were not very good to use if you were in a busy and noisy environment. However do bare in mind that this can depend on your network too-generally if you stick to the big two networks Vodafone and orange you will rarely get any problems however i don't think this phone is available on orange.
Connectivity is really easy with this phone as it comes with a wire to connect to your PC and there is also bluetooth too.
I'd say that overall, this phone is great and has all the features that i want in a phone. The only things i would say are that if the battery was better and the phone was slightly lighter then it would be an even better phone but having said that -no phone is perfect out there and nor will there ever be.
Advantages: beautiful design, veryeasy to use, fantastic new features Disadvantages: quite heavy, some old features
...can use to install the nokia PC suite which can be really useful to convert your songs, pictures and videos.
Organising your contacts is made really easy with this phone along with text messaging and SMS messaging. You can download several things via your PC and the web access that is available. So far i'v e downloaded several free tones, graphics and some pictures. You camn also download games and songs that cos you money.
Overall, this phone ...

Advantages: speed of switching between options, finishing touch is cool, graphics are good Disadvantages: sms writing or reading infront of sunlight, battery timings are not good
NOKIA 8600 LUNA has a great finishing touch, really cool and easy to handle handset, its graphics are excellent and last week when me and my cousin visited the mobile market after so much trouble and search after all at the end we were compelled to buy LUNA, look wise its excellent and really feels cool when you take this handset in your hand graphics are pretty cool, speed is pretty fast if you switch between different options, but it has got some ...

Advantages: Good/Sleek Looking Disadvantages: Not enough Support to MAC user
...me, you will find our Nokia has a very poor support on MacOS user. In addition ,this phone I bought in UK only support the language in the EU country. This really puts me down as many of my friends used to send me text message in Chinese. By using this phone, I can no longer read those Chinese text message. The ringtone and the theme in this phone is also boring. As a MAC user, I can't change the ringtone/theme so easily.
Not to mention that y choosing ...

Features:-
-2 megapixel camera
-Bluetooth
-Micro SD memory slot
-Mp3 player -Integrated loudspeaker
-GPRS
-USB connectivity
-Quad-band
well.. i think this phone gets 10/10 for looks and feel, and the slide feels really comfortable. Even if the camera is 2 megpixels the pictures turn out really well, its got really good reception and so far its practiculy worked everywhere for me so far. As for the price, i don't think its worth for over £500 ... ...i like about this phone is the design which looks and feels really good. Another thing is the standby mode. Its when the screen turns off but the bottons keep flicking on/off slowly through the glass. Overall, i would suggest that you buy this if you don't like the chunky N95 or the new sony eriksons. ...
