Advantages: Sleek and stylish, 3G, 3 megapixel camera, music player Disadvantages: Overpriced; Volume may be a problem
The Nokia 8800 Arte is perhaps the most luxurious mobile in Nokia's collection. It is made with premium materials and is definetely an luxury item. The phone is sleek and elegant and is just overflowing with style. The phone's main theme is more to do with the aesthetics than the functions. The simple yet sophisticated design of this slide phone is sure to be appealing.
Even though Nokia does not pride this phone for its functions, it does have ... ...This phone also lives up to Nokia's reputation for user friendly mobile phones. However, in my opinion, the above does not justify the price of this product. I find the phone overpriced for what may be called as just a stylish phone and perhaps nothing more. * Also, I have heard from a relative that volume of the phone is relatively small, but should that be an actual problem or just my relative's poor listening, I leave it for you to decide. ...

Advantages: well made and feels very nice Disadvantages: expensive and lacks some functions
Right, I just received this phone not long ago and when I opened the box, it was like WOW that is a nice phone!
Well, this definitely keeps up with its predecessors. The carbon arte is expensive to purchase and somewhat lacking functions.
In my opinion, the phone is very easy to use and has good internal memory (4gb), despite lacking external memory card slot. It is very comfortable in your hand and the sliding mechanism is better than other sliding phones due to its smoothness and robustness.
The accessories that come with the phone is very nice, all of which matches. The bluetooth headset and docking station is exquisite in my opinion.
The call quality is crisp and the interface is simple to use. The phone is small enough to fit into your pocket and you will know it will be there as you will check it all the time just in ...
Advantages: Design . Exclusivity . Unlike any other phone . Far more than a workhorse phone Disadvantages: Ok, it's not cheap but the best things in life often aren't
few days with pretty regular calls. Not like the old Nokia 6310's that seemed to last forever on a charge, but not a problem either. The USB charger and data lead is very useful.
Get one. You know you want it! You cannot fail to be impressed. It is a step above any other phone I've looked at or used, in terms of sheer class. By classy, I mean that it's not flashy.....it just looks the part. I'm not a snob at all, but I'm enjoying having the best phone/gadget for a while!
One thing.......I've seen others mention that the volume isn't high enough during a call. All you have to do is press up on the joypad or if you're using the bluetooth headset just slide your finger up the touch sensitive area. It's easy but some people didn't seem to find that. Still stuck? Call the exclusive Nokia8800 helpline (did I mention this phone is classy ...
