Advantages Advantages Beautifully Crafted, Lovely Mobile Display, Looks high quality and expensive...

Disadvantages Disadvantages It is expensive, No Touchscreen or QWERTY Keyboard

I love cars, especially Hypercars. To make a fast Hyper car (Beyond the Lamborghini Gallardo and the Ferrari 458) we are talking about Mercedes SLS AMG"S and Porsche Carrara GT'S) it needs to be light and stylish. Carbon Fibre is often in the making therefore, but it is expensive (up to 3 times the amount than steel) but it is allot lighter, and therefore makes the car able to travel at higher speeds. Why then did Nokia, a Finnish mobile phone maker, build a phone with few features, yet in a Carbon Fibre, polished glass and polished Titanium body which makes this double the price (and then ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish; easy-to-use standard Nokia software

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life; relative lack of features; price

Now, I work in a mobile phone shop and the Nokia 8800 is definitely a phone that gets noticed. It looks a lot nicer than most other phones on the market, and these days comes advertised as "From FREE" on contract. As soon as people ask about it, though, there are a few reality checks: - The "FREE" price tag only comes with the highest tariffs, most people on a standard £30 per month price plan will pay more than £150 for the phone. Upgrades and SIM-free's will set you back up to almost £600 on the high street. - In the (approximate) words of a Nokia rep, the phone comes with two batteries ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages price

I managed to destroy my Nokia 6111 and had to buy another mobile phone for personal use. I am part way through my contract so the opportunity to upgrade was not an option so it was a case of find a nice looking, cheap, reliable phone and quickly. I bought this phone from the Carphone Warehouse for £300 rationalising the price in my head by convincing myself I wouldn't buy another phone for at least 3 years and this time I would insure it against damage. Visually the 8800 is very similar to the Nokia 6111, it has a slide screen that partly covers the keypad but the bottom section of the keypad ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks the part and has a great TFT screen

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive and lacks anything of special interest to warrant the price tag

After keeping hold of my Nokia 8310 for well over 12 months it sadly came to the end of its life recently after a trip round the washing machine and tumble dryer and after attempting to convince my daughter she needed a new phone (she is the source of all of my mobile phones) I had to bite the bullet and actually go out and part with some hard earned money. Choosing which phone to buy is an absolute nightmare. There are so many functions, gadgets and brands on the market today, it simply is a minefield for the potential buyer. The first phone to catch my eye was the stylish Nokia 8800 and ... more

Advantages Advantages Sleek and stylish and very slim, with a sliding keypad cover

Disadvantages Disadvantages heavy, poor battery life

That's it my Nokia 6600 was on the verge of dying, I needed to use the loudspeaker when i was making a call because I could not hear a thing!! So I was due for an upgrade and I chose the Nokia 8800. If there's one thing I've learned it's that some people will always like shiny metal objects. Whether it's a pen, a toaster, a fridge, shiny and metal are good. I have a few metals things at home may be that's why I chose that phone.. Weighing in at 134 g and measuring 107 x 45 x 16.5 mm, the Nokia 8800 is both heavy and sleek at the same time but I don't mind really , my Nokia 6600 was a bit heavy ... more
