The keys on the keypad are notably small and for me this didn’t bother me at all but I know some people like their phones to have medium size keys as they find small keys to be rather tedious. This is the ultimate phone for anybody and its price tag of over £450 really represents this incredible piece of technology. But what really makes the phone stand out isn’t the price tag but the stylish design consisting of a strong titanium outer shell to protect the phone and a spring slided shell that can be pushed down with the press of two buttons on either side of the phone at the same time to reveal a rather slender keypad.
The phone is light, weighing in at around 110g, which is perfect really because you don’t really notice it when you’re carrying it around as the extra weight that could burden you is actually very subtle which is quite surprising as the phone is a lot bigger in comparison to a lot of the other Nokia models.
The keys on the keypad are notably small and for me this didn’t bother me at all but I know some people like their phones to have medium size keys as they find small keys to be rather tedious. However try telling this to Nokia as most of their models not consist of small keys. One disappointment for me though about the keys was the light emitted from the keys wasn’t sufficiently good enough and places like a dark cinema made it difficult to complete a simple text message.
Now for the phone’s actual features, the phone’s features gave me mixed reactions all around since it came with brand new features which no other phone currently offers as a bundle but then lacks some simple features that you would constantly expect from a phone at the top of the market. First of the phone comes with a whopping 4,096 colour (as stated in the instruction manual) and this really shows as the colours are a lot brighter yet a lot easier on the eyes, making the display screen a real joy of an experience. However I must add that was I expecting the screen to be a little bigger than it was and a few extra cm in diameter would have gone a long way. Another feature is Multimedia Messaging service which allows you to talk to other phone and pc users in real time, a nice feature that is easily becoming standard for all Nokia phones. Wireless Java is also available on this phone which is great for either surfing the net or playing games against yourselves or other phone users. Also I very impressive feature called GPRS which stands for General Packet Radio Service allows users to send files, emails and surf the internet at great speeds. Remember how text messages could take between 5 minutes to several hours on average. Well with GPRS it will take literally seconds, it’s like having broadband on your phone. Experiencing this function alone overwhelmed me with joy and I’ve never really been much of a phone fashion follower. However one feature left out that some users may be upset by was the fact that you don’t have the luxury of buying a digital camera add on to place on this phone since its unique body shape does not support it. However for me this was not such a big miss since I already have a high market digital camera in my procession but others may feel quite different on the subject. Also polyphonic ring tones were also purposely left out, which upset me a little bit because I was looking forward to playing with the different sounds.
The last feature I’m going to talk about is the new Bluetooth technology enabled on this phone which allows you to connect wirelessly to a compatible PC or other Bluetooth-enabled device up to ten meters away. Best of all is you don't need a direct line of sight to make the connection with your phone and PC, you can leave it in a bag if you like while you surf the Internet, check or emails or connect to an audio device. This is an impressive feature but I do prefer GPRS over it. Once GPRS is further developed, I think more people will be using it than Bluetooth since it has greater potential.
Overall the 8910I is a fabulous phone, a real credit to Nokia, buying this phone would be a great step up for anyone who is willing to pay the price tag. These people will not be disappointed by the pure class of this phone. Although it lacks some features, it’s still easily top of the market and current champion of this segment of the market.
Advantages: Titanium case for ectra duability. Disadvantages: Not too many features
...Other Stuff ^^^^
The Nokia 8910i also includes the ability to send Multimedia Messages (pictures and such like), WAP (wireless application protocol), full colour display and digital clock screen saver. It also includes standard Nokia installs such as calculator, currency converter, alarm clock and normal clock and to do list. ^^^^ The Bad Bits ^^^^
There are only a couple of faults I can find with this phone. Both are very minor and shouldn’t affect ... ...Firstly, this phone is not polyphonic. It only plays monophonic ringtones. This may not be a problem to some people, but if you’re like me and like funky tunes to play then this is not the phone for you. Also, overuse of the slide down cover (see first paragraph) can cause a scratch on the back of the actual phone. This surprised me as the 8910i is supposed to be hard wearing. This seems to be a design fault that cannot be helped. However, the scratch ...

...first mobile phone was a nokia and perhaps because of sheer laziness I have remained brand loyal ... they are familiar and easy to use, generally with a good battery life.

My first impressions were that this was not a particularly stylish ... ...designed keypad in the usual Nokia style. The buttons, however, are on the small side and it can be fiddly when dialing long numbers or sending text messages. The screen is in full colour and is very high quality, again about the usual size for a Nokia phone.
Now, as I said at the start of this review, I am not an expert on mobiles and to be honest I don't use half the features my instruction manual says it has. There are a number of features which ...

The Nokia is 8910i is one of the most expensive phones on the market and it is designed with strict business in mind. With that in mind it's not the sort of phone one buy's to have fun and muck around with. There's not much novelty factor. This phone looks, feels and IS expensive (400pounds). The high quality finish has a non-nonense, high quality professional look which contrasts with the cheap plastic covers on most phone out there. Advantages: Bluetooth Connection, Easy Installation, Excellent Call Quality Disadvantages: Lots of wiring to hide and might not fit in with your car interior!
This is the newer version of the Nokia CARK-112 wireless handsfree kit. The main improvements are the call quality and adaptability towards being utilised for more of the newer Nokia mobile phone range.
Since getting this kit I have made many calls both recieving and dialing. Both seem very good and with my phone the Nokia 6230 I have found that the call quality is excellent, the speaker is loud and the microphone picks up very well with the caller never complaining of road noise both town driving at on the motorway.
Voice activated dialing helps to call out as I do not mount my phone in a holder, prefering to keep it in my pocket. Connection is automatic (bluetooth paired devices) as I get into the vehicle which is excellent if the phone rings you will hear it through the speaker.
I believe that you can attach an external ...
Advantages: Fantastic feel and looks, crystal clear screen, unique, lots of accessories included Disadvantages: Battery life is poor, only a 0.5 megapixel camera
After much chasing I have finally received a Nokia 8800. This is designed as the flagship model of Nokias new releases and it certainly looks the part. Even the box is smartly designed and gives you an idea of the effort that has gone into producing this phone. Nokia has aimed to produce a phone that stands out from the crowd, and at first glance it certainly does.
The screen and stainless steel casing gleam and give the phone a feel of real quality. I have never seen a better screen on a mobile. Contained within the box are an excellent range of accessories - a protective suede pouch, a wired handsfree kit, a mains charger, a spare battery and a very nifty desktop charger. (For my previous Nokia8910iI paid over £50 to assemble a similar range of accesories so I consider these inclusions as very good value!).
The phones software ...

with the headset.
The cost is not too bad for a bluetooth headset. I paid £53.99 as I bought it with my phone, but I have seen it around for £59.99.
The headset works with the following Nokia phones:
Nokia 6310, Nokia 6310i, Nokia8910, Nokia 6650, Nokia 3650, Nokia8910i, Nokia 6600, Nokia N-Gage, Nokia 6230, Nokia 6820, Nokia 6810, Nokia 7700, Nokia 7600, Nokia 3660, Nokia 9500 Communicator, Nokia 7610.
Im not sure what this means but you may find it useful to know that the headset is compliant with and adopts the Bluetooth Specification 1.1. The headset can also work with other bluetooth phones, but you would need to check the compatibility to make sure.
Overall, I would recommend the headset. It is easy to connect and use, aswell as having good clarity. ...
