I had been looking for a pair of wireless stereo headphones for a while so I could use them with my mobile phone at the gym, and round the office. Not being tethered to something with a wire is obviously quite important for at the gym!
Over the ear Bluetooth stereo headsets seem to be quite hard to find, so when this was on Amazon at a reasonable price, I leapt at the chance.
The item arrived with a Nokia standard charger (the new size with the tiny connector), a protective cloth bag for the headphones, the headphones (obviously) and a printed manual. The headphones have various buttons on the right earpiece for controlling the phone - answer a call, play & pause music, skip forward and skip backwards tracks and volume. The battery for the headset is a rechargeable which is built in to them.
After charging the headphones (the initial charge took just over an hour) I paired the headphones with the phone - very easy to do by following the clear instructions in the manual.
I then listened to a few songs to check out the sound quality, which is very good for a mid range Bluetooth headset... The bass was very good - which is to be expected with over the ear, closed cup headphones. The headphones do cut out a lot of the background noise, which allows you to clearly pick up the higher notes of whatever you are listening to.
These headphones are quite heavy (which is actually a bonus for me when I am at the gym, helps keep them on my head) but if you're looking for something a bit more discreet, then these aren't the headphones for you.
I get about 6-8 hours of listening to music per charge of the battery, since it uses the same charger as my phone, it's easy to keep them charged (and the phone too).
When listening to music and someone phones you, the music stops and you can answer the call using one of the buttons on the right earpiece. The built in microphone seems to work pretty well - no complaints yet anyway. The caller's voice is certainly very clear. This is another case where the headphones cutting out some of the background noise is very useful, since you will not have to put up the headset volume too much.
I haven't really had them long enough to discuss reliability or durability with you in depth, but they do feel pretty durable - well made, and likely to withstand a good amount of wear and tear. This is what I would expect from a Nokia product.
All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase of this headset, and would happily recommend them to people.
