Nokia CK-200

It’s nice to see Nokia back in this sector with a good looking functional handsfree solution.
The Nokia CK200.
Looks and finish : 9/10.
The units display is very good looking. The front is a gloss black, with a silver surround and can be mounted to almost any surface. Via the swivel mounting foot and a little double sided tape. (Sticky double sided in box).
The mounting foot is at 90 degrees, but will move to 0 degrees. Also the mount has a knuckle joint. I find these a little loose, so a little double sided on the knuckle before mounting gives a secure finish.
The Display is very clear, displaying white text against a dark background. Showing information of both mobile phones connected. (Or just one).
The main phone in use is displayed in larger text at the top, with the second phone displayed in smaller text at the bottom of the screen, The great thing about this kit is, when you receive a call from the second phone, It displays in the smaller text an incoming call. Just press one button (switch) and the order of the phones swap allowing you to answer the call.

Sound : 7/10
The sound of the Nokia CK200 is very good. However I have had feedback from van owners, with larger vans without bulkheads. That they need to talk up because of background noise. This is because the Microphone for the CK200 is mounted in the front of the display. For ease of fitting this helps allot. But sometimes an external mic is best.
However saying that, in a car it works a treat. Very clear audio, both calls in and out.
As the audio from the call mutes the car radio, and projects the audio through the cars speakers.

Fitting : 8/10 (10 being easy)
The kit comes pre wired to the Euro ISO connector, like most handsfree kits do, meaning this kit will go into almost anything, with an optional SOT lead (sound on top). Just requires an SOT lead to convert the ISO into Quad lock (the newer style car radio connector) to fit into most newer cars. Just unplug the radio, plug this kit into the cares radio plug, and the other end into the radio, job done.
The kits pre wired ISO loom has the ignition live and permanent live on fuses, making it easy to swap the power supply around for some cars.
There is another box to install. this is the audio mute box, quite small, so again fitting this behind the glove box or centre console shouldn't be too hard.
With having the Microphone built into the kits display, this makes life allot easier.

The remote control : 8/10
The way to get around this kit is with the supplied battery operated remote control,
This is wireless making it easy to install. Just put on the sticky pad and stick.....
This remote offers in call volume, phone switch, voice dial, call answer and call end.
Also the menu, colour theme, settings, paired devices, connection manager.
The remote control is operated via a CR32. The remote can be attached to the steering wheel with the wheel attachment strap provided..

The Nokia CK200 doesn't offer audio streaming via Bluetooth like some other kits do, but for call use its very good indeed.

Durability and future proof : 9/10
The Displays party trick..... Unlike any other handsfree kit I've come across. Nokia have made the CK200 removable, simply slide the display upwards and put in the pre provided cloth pouch, (yes this bits been done before but wait).....
The reason you would want to take the display with you is because you can clip it into your friend’s car with a Nokia CK200 fitted, and use your kit ! The display has all the electronics inside, so any car with a Nokia CK200 fitted into it, can be used by another user.
The Nokia CK200 supports auto sync for contacts (phonebook).
This makes updating the kit much easier and replacement of displays easier.

Many customers at mobile radio fitter have had the Nokia CK200 fitted.
