NOTE I HAVE CHANGED THE REVIEW CAUSE EVERY1 THINKS PREVIOUS REVIEW WAS COPIED FROM ANOTHER SOURCE.
So i got my E65 and its been with me for a week ... all i could say that this phone is a beauty ... a sexc phone ... the feel of the unit was like leather skin which is not unusual of nokia to use such materials for phones. For example, the e61 casing was metal and now the e65 is a leather type material. The unit was slim for a slider phone - even slimmer than the 6820 which was impressive. The phone easily slider and the buttons under the slider were in a nice size to suite both fat and skinny fingers.
When tsting the camera which is a basic 2 megapixel camera, the pictures were reasonabily clear although that what u would expect from a phone camera. The only thing lacking was flash so it is not usable in a dark enviroment.
The phone runs on the third version of the S60 operating system like all other E series phones do. Having had a e61, i can say the operating system is stable and gr8 and if ur looking for application for a e-series phone, go to www.e-series.org, a forum i found to be helpful and useful if ur looking for new programs and legal mods for this family of phones.
The phone has both Wifi and Bluetooth. The bluetooth connected to my bluetooth headset with no probs and the Wifi to my home netwrok. From my experience WIFI VoIP phones have high latency, but this phone gave me a different impression. I quickly configured the SIP client for VOIP and amzaingly, the connection was very good with minimal latency. However note that the Wifi drains all battery power really quick.
The e65 uses micro-sd which is available up to 2GB , would have been nice if it supported mini SD. Teh phone comes standard with a 256mb card.
Even if this is re-written I can't rate as anything other than Nh because I want to know how the phone works over time - not from picking it up in a shop. How is that helpful?
