I have recently upgraded my phone from a Nokia 6670 ( read my previous review ) to the new N70, thus i am writing this review.
To be honest i like to upgrade my phone once a year and always seem to have a good idea of what i want and the N70 was no exception. From the miute i heard about it i wanted one and to be honest i haven't been too dissapointed.
Firstly the the 2megapixel camera is a slight improvement on the already outstanding performance of the 6670 1mp camera. I compared against a few different makes of phone ( Sony E, Moto ) and the Nokia comes tops every time, the slide and hide feature is very good for protcting the lens from wear and tear. But the video is the biggest difference camera wise, recording in mp4 format and taking up twice the memory capacity means your videos are really good quality. You can still change between 3gp and mms quality which is very handy.
The stereo radio and mp3 is the biggest difference for me ,as my previous phone was mono which was a big dissapointment, which means if you buy a big enough memory card you can use your phone as an mp3 player and the sound quality is excellent. The supplied headphones even look like ipod phones so you look the part when bopping around the streets. The radio also has the function of reducing it to the background so that you can play games, text and various other things while still being tuned in.
The phone also has 3G support, which means video calling, live T.V. and streaming video, as long as it is available in your area ( check with you service provider, i am with 3G and coverage is very good in my gaff, N.E. )
You can customise this phone with themes, true tones and wallpapers which can all be found quite easily on the net, just contact me cos i have some good sites bookmarked.
To be honest this phone has lot more features than i have mentioned here. The trouble is that i don't use them. For instance, synchronising data with your p.c.,email, office software and lots of yuppy stuff. Only joshing cos this phone is ideal for the businessman on the go who doesn't want to carry a brick around in there pocket and may want to catch up on the financial news on the way to work or the latest freestyle BMX news.
All in all i thoroughly recommend this phone to any one considering upgrading from a 6670 downwards.
