I decided to get a new phone because I had trouble getting signal in my local area with my old network. I went into the store without any idea which phone I wanted and to be honest nothing really jumped out at me. I wanted a small phone with all the usual features, camera, music etc but most of the phones seemed quite big. The salesperson showed me a few and then showed me the N70. I wasn't 100% sure but I liked the fact it had a lot of features and the screen size is relatively big. The only thing that put me off was that it appeared to be quite chunky. When I compared it to me old phone, the Motorola V3 however, I realised it wasn't much bigger. It's only approx 3/4cm taller if that, and although it is thicker, when you compare the capabilities of each phone it is unbelievable. The N70 has a 2megapixel camera and a videocamera. The lens is located at the back of the phone, underneath a sliderwhich you just pull down. There is also a lens on the front of the phone for videocalling. It also has an automatic flash so provides good clear pictures. The menu is set out slightly differently than the 'old' Nokia because, according to the salesperson, 'the phone is more like a computer'. There are separate files for contacts, messages, music, web, clock as normal and then there are 'My files' 'Office' 'Tools' etc which do look like the files that appear on your computer. I was slightly apprehensive at first because, as much as I like having the latest features I normally never use them because I can't get them to work. Nokia reliability, however, has really shone through and I am so pleased I returned to them. It comes with a USB cable to attach to your computer, headphones, charger and adapter because the charger is slightly smaller than the old Nokia standard charger. With the adapter though, you can still use your existing car kit etc. As well as a memory card, there is also a CD Rom to put the software on your comp. I found this really easy to use and had music on my phone in a matter of minutes. You simply select 'transfer music' pick the files you want and click transfer. If you want a phone that has all the latest features and is easy to use then this is the phone for you. I have found no real disadvantages, apart from the slightly 'plasticky' feel.
