If you have used the N93 phone you will automatically notice the differences and improvements that come with N93i. Nokia have re-worked the N93 completely to make it much more user friendly. Visibility and the keypad have been re-worked, for example The N93i has 16 million colours rather than the N93's 262,000 available. There is joy pad stick for enhanced control. However I only had the N93 for a short time as it was a loan from a friend. It was defiantly one of the coolest phones that I ever used and the features were amazing which I will go on describe latter.
I feel the N93i should be recognised by its own right rather then being promoted by its father the N93. For those who owned and loved there N93 the N93i will be an obvious upgrade and will be won over by its specs. So this review will be aimed at you newbie's of the Symbian phone or the Nokia 'N' series.
The N93i is defiantly a phone for people who love taking photos or videos on there mobile phone, included is Nokia software which makes transferring files from your phone to your computer as easy as possible. There is the optional SD memory slot to enhance the storage capacity on the phone. It has a noise reduction facility which means no more static noises in the background of traffic and hustle bustle of life. However the menu and set up of the camera can be a little complicated sometimes and can be difficult to adjust. The unique flip facility of the N93i similar to the 6260 more then makes up for any grievances. Although you may find it does provide clear crystal recordings it's a little below par to the 'DVD' quality claim associated to it. But its worth remembering its better then anything else ever in terms of a phone image recording and if you want a camcorder you should buy one with that purpose in mind!
Here are a few of the good points of the N93i
-Less bulky and much sleeker design -Auto focus -16.7 Million TFT colour display -Side joystick -Carl Ziss Vario-Tessar 3x Optical zoom and 3.2 mega pixel -3G Technology -Video Recorder with 3 x Optical Zoom & 8 x Digital Zoom -FM Stereo Radio
-50 Mbytes Memory Plus MicroSD Memory Card Option -3.9 Hours Talk Time -283 Hours Standby
Other information can be found on the Nokia website detailing more of the specs that you may be interested in. I am still getting used to the phone but so far have little to complain about it. The only disadvantage I can think of is that the battery time is a little low and the applications take a long time to load.
With prices for sim-free phones ranging from £450- £700, I would suggest waiting for a few months for the price to lower or getting it as part of network deals or annual upgrades. If it's a phone that you're looking for then make sure the N93i is on your list of possibilities because it's got everything you require from a phone but its by far in its own league in terms of look and specs.
Advantages: Good screen size, large storage space, sleek design. Disadvantages: Slightly chunky.
This phone was an upgrade from a NokiaN93 that had slowly become damaged through wear and tear.
On receiving the N95 8gb I was impressed by its features and liked the novelty of having a pre-loaded film, (Spiderman 3).
It is a solidly designed phone, easy to handle and although a little chunkier than some counterparts it is not too large or heavy that it becomes cumbersome. It has a nice sleek finish and the buttons are well designed for ease-of-use. Durability is good, although I have had to have it replaced once as the back became seperated after an accident - it looked as if it was pulling away one side and although it seemed as if it should just "snap back" into place, it wouldn't. A replacement was brought to my home from Vodafone within 48 hours so I was not deterred by this. The replacement phone has taken a few knocks ...

Advantages: Access to lots of features besides phones. Disadvantages: Too costly for middle class people.
I am not one of those rich guys so for me, affording an N93 was a bit expensive. When it arrived at the Indian Market, it's price was about Rs.32000. Then it gradually faded out of the market, I don't know why. May be it didn't satisfy the customers or because they have launched better models.
I came in contact with NokiaN93 quiet late when it was not that much in a craze. I got it second hand for Rs.4500. Now, inspite of being second hand, it's features were really very good and I found it really very handy. I don't know why they stopped that much production in India. Once I felt that I should buy a new spare body for it and then it will look brand new and no one could guess that it is second hand. Then I didn't buy after that for some reasons.
It has got all the features which you can imagine in a cell phone like bluetooth ...

Welcome to My Review on the NokiaN93 - My Curent Phone.
I first saw this phone on the Nokia UK website and was amazed when i looked at its features, i just had to get hold of one!
I bought mine on eBay on the Vodafone PAYG network, costing me around £310!!! Well so far it has been worth it.
It has a 3.2 Megapixel Camera with 3X Optical Zoom and 20x Digital Zoom. This is a real star when it comes to photography, it captures quickly and the pictures, in daylight conditions, are great quality!
The CMOS censor does lack a bit in quality as opposed to CCD cameras of the same megapixel quality. And the pictures at dark/night conditions are not as good as i would have expected. The flash does work well for close objects but limits the capability.
Now onto another great feature, WIFI! Now technology has advanced so far that we ...
