Everyone knows that this is one of the most feature packed mobile phones out there, from simple things like a voice recorder to assisted GPS and even a built in five mega pixel camera that can compete with most point and shoot cameras in the same range. I could go on and on about the features, but I'd rather tell you about the ones I use on a day to day basis
For most people, the main reason for having a phone is surely to be able to make and receive phone calls. If you have never used a Nokia smart phone, you may find this a bit intimidating at first as this phone has a few more buttons than your average mobile, but fear not as the main call and select keys are clearly
marked and the user manual explains all the rest of them.
So once you have figured out how to call, you can hear the person on the other end of the line loud and clear, this of course is no surprise just the high quality we have come to expect from Nokia. The only problem you may encounter during a call may be a bad connection, but that is simply a network fault.
Texting is also easy, it is done from the messaging centre where you can also send & receive: mms (multi-media messages) & e-mails (needs setting up first). Typing messages is simple, the keys aren't stiff or too small, just the right size so you won't have any problems with texting a lot.
Apart from calling and texting the features I most use are the music player, Web browser, video player, camera and calendar.
I use the music player everyday, all day. The phone has a 3.5mm jack so you can plug in your own pair of head phones which makes listening to music so much better than using the pair that come with the phone. This phone also supports A2DP so you can listen to your music via a bluetooth headset. The audio quality in my opinion is not far behind an iPod, I even stopped using my 80gb iPod classic because having this phone meant I didn't have to carry around too much, however it's not as loud as an iPod and it can't carry as much music around 2000 tracks, in my opinion 2000 tracks is more than enough for short journeys. I just carry around my favourite songs.
The web browser is always handy, checking the latest footie scores, your e-mails, facebook, MySpace or even your dooyoo/ciao! Account. It also has a rss reader so you can always be up to date with the latest news, blog etc.I think the best part of the web browser is the fact that it uses flash lite so you can watch flash videos! I have spent hours watching YouTube videos on my phone and with a healthy wifi connection it isn't that much slower than using your pc.
With the video player you can watch mp4s & 3gps the usual mobile video formats, however it can play high quality mp4s that paired with the nice bright 2.8" screen is perfect for watching movies.
The camera is not the best in the world but you can't expect too much from a mobile phone. Pictures taken in well lit areas come out crisp and full of detail, but low light pictures are the exact opposite the flash isn't really bright enough. You can also record videos with or without sound. Set on the highest settings the camera records at 30fps which is the frame rate of a DVD so videos generally look really good. After taking a photo or filming a video you can edit these with the simple built in editors in your gallery, good fun for messing around or making a master piece to post online.
The calendar is just to organize my life really; I am pretty forgetful so I write allot of memos to my self. If you have one or more memos on a day they are displayed on the stand by screen so you can't really miss anything. A pretty cool thing I discovered last year is, the phone sets the day light saving time by it's self so once you have set the right time and kept it charged properly, it will set the time one hour ahead or back when it's daylight saving time or not.
The battery with heavy use will last you the whole day, as long as you charge it the night before you should be set for the day ahead.
Now the looks. The front is nice and shiny , the back is in a matt black finish. Pretty sexy I'd say. But it's not all good: This phone is tubby! It bulges out in your pocket, but it feels solid in your hands and is lighter than it looks. The slider does feel a bit weak at times but I've had this phone for over 16 months now and it's still going strong!

Advantages: Easy to use, Gorgeous phone, amazing features. Disadvantages: As the keyboard is small it is hard to find some symbols, screen glares the light.
