I have been admiring this mobile for quite a while before poppin into the local Vodaahphone shop and jumping in feet first. What I love about this mobile is that it just seems to have an elegance to it. Nothing is a hassle, the interface is slick and smooth without too much menu complications. It perfect for you none technical folk out their who perfer a simple mobile and who don't like trawling through all those Spanish, Japanese, instructions. The Nokia N95 is a high tech mobile which carry-on all those recognisable Nokia traits that any techno tortoise can follow. The graphics are delightful without going over the top, it reminds me of my first 3G phone. Yeah I do think the Nokia N95 is revolutionary... it is the next step towards 4G mobile phone media. The internal storage alone makes the N95 more capable of carrying digital data for a longer term. No more... selecting MP3 realtones for deletion, on a regular basis. Or going through all the photo's and crazy video downloads.. wondering what to delete, or store on PC.
I'm not saying that you will not be doing this while having this mobile.. It will be less often.
The slider clicks into place with absolute ease. I always wondered how can a slider not get caught on the keys while sliding, before getting this mobile....I needn't have wondered. Gone are the slightly lifted wonky keys of other Nokia brand keypads and hello the new reformed slightly smaller keypad all in a silver. The slider protects the keypad from any unfortunate spillages.. not that I have tried, nor intend to find out. I want to get a lot of mileage from this mobile over the next 2 years. I did expect a couple of sticky episodes regarding the workability of the mobile.. I have had no sticky patches as yet, as stated in a few Nokia N95 forums and blogs. I guess the nervousness is partly because it is all new and that... One thing for sure it does not wash itself. I still need to wipe the finger prints off the 3 inch screen on a daily occurrence. I guess thats me really with new shiny gadgets; after about 4 weeks I expect the wiping novelty will go.
For userability I have been very impressed with the 5MG Camera facility. It is a professional camera as well!! Quite a feature for a smaller mobile than the Nokia N70. Though capability is obviously nothing to do with size. Just when you are getting use to a bigger handset again, filling all your pocket space... The Nokia N95 is smaller than it's predessor. Nokia sure know how to keep you guessing with each revolutionary model. I do think 2007 will be a big year for the Nokia family. The Nokia N95 has a great navigation GPS utility and it isn't 'pacman like'. The landmarks are very clear as is the route colour coded routes. This to me was the biggest surprise when needing some directional help when leaving the pub, (I was on foot:) A nice surprise heighten by a couple of malts.

The price is more than you would pay for a mobile phone; however, the deal can be included in the contract clause, so it is worth looking at all the options for mobile networks. I can tell you this that the mobile phone staff love this mobile. They are also very willing to take you through all the initial set-up formalities. One particular thing that excited one staff member was the option of having a 'portrait' or a 'landscape' mobile. Watching the demo was a treat to say the least. Worth a try yourself if you want an informative guide and have 10 minutes to spare.
The features are endless... You still have all the call making options and texting options...What did interest me was the possibility of using the isp email server and sending mobile media through bluetooth and directly to external email accounts. Bluetooth works a treat, without hardly any knowhow experience. Simple and highly recommended. To all you techno guys it will be a breeze in the park. I'm looking forward to seeing other 3.5G mobiles so that Video Calling will become a norm. I have only seen 5 people actually use this feature yet 60% of all mobiles do have the feature. The technology on this occasion is way ahead of the consumer. Do we actually know what our mobiles can do? Are we ready for this type of 3.5G mobile technology? the jury is out I feel.
Nokia has been a new life force for mobile technology and the Nokia N95 is a top example. I must confess I didn't think Nokia could come up with such a slick design... other models before seem a tad clumsy in comparison. The N95 has a D600 feel to it. It has taken some product branding hints from Sony. I don't blame them... Nokia needed a lift and they have nearly touched the stars with this model. The weight is lighter than expected and now has a potential to get lost in large pockets.
Nokia has always known how to introduce a mobile phone to the public. It makes sense that Nokia is the brand that has introduced a masterpiece of 3.5G Mobile Technology and made it user friendly. this mobile is perfect for you trend setters who love designer objectsTand enjoy playing around on their mobile. It beats holding a cigarette, and is allowed in bars...perfect.
Again, the only drawback is the price... it is going down in price and the best I've seen is 395.00 GBP. For that price you are getting a piece of tomorrows' MT (Mobile Technology)
