    Advantages Advantages Cant really recommend any but it does come with a lot of extras

    Disadvantages Disadvantages To overpowering in the wrong ways and detection rate isn't great

    I dont personally run norton on my own computer anymore but have so done in the past. This review is more to do with my experiences with clients systems, and the trouble norton has caused me and my clients in the past, as well as some tips on PC security. Norton is packed full of features and looks very impressive especially to those who may be new to computer security.     Have you got a PC/laptop which has a really rubbish anti-virus system, or you just want your computer to be better protected. If so why not try Norton Anti-virus 2005. I brought this package a few weeks ago and I thought it would be just like the other ones before it just with different packaging. But when I got home and installed it, I was proved wrong, way wrong in fact. It was brilliant, with live updates so your system will always be protected by the best of the packages abilities and now evens detects at threat files and can delete them without disturbing what ever the user is doing ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Ineffective against certain viruses/trojans, requires subscription, offers few alternatives, ignores spyware, near impossible to remove.

    I first came to own a copy of Norton Antivirus last year. As a consultant for an online company, with a large amount of information passing through my computer, an antivirus program was important. Based on Norton's reputation here in the UK, and a year's free subscription to virus updates, I purchased a copy, and was initially pleased with the results, a few minor, harmless viruses were discovered, and Norton removed them easily enough.     Advantages Advantages Reliable, Good Detection Rate, Great Interface

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, System Intensive, Lots of better alternatives

    I bought Norton AntiVirus last year for around £25 in order to protect my computer from viruses, and since then I have had very mixed results with it. On the visual side of things, Norton AntiVius is excellent. The main menu neatly lists several different security options that can be activated or deactivated, as well as an option that allows you to begin scanning your computer with a click of a button.     I got Norton AntiVirus when I purchased my new laptop. I got it mainly because they were offering a dicounted deal when you purchased a computer from PC world. My family has always used Norton on the home computer so I thought they were fairly trustworthy as a company. I use the internet alot ans it is very important to protect your self against the viruses that you get when downloading files or simply being connected to the internet. Problems: Norton Antivirus has really slowed down my computer, it clearly needs alot of working memory to run which my computer doesn't have. This makes the ... more
