My Polo 1.0

Advantages: It's a great little city/town/country car. Its fabulously economic.
Disadvantages: No power steering on this particular model.

for what I would get next, couldn't find anything that was quite what I wanted. But one evening I picked up the local paper one night and spied something that looked just right. Pedro Mark 2. It was a 1999 1.0 purple Polo, almost identical to the one I lost. Another reliable little car hopefully, my last one had done 345,000 miles when it was finally put to rest! Remarkable! This one seemed better somehow, it was cleaner than my first one which had come to earn the nickname of the "Shedlo" because of the state of it. Rusty holes had come into contact with the inevitable Scottish rain, making them look like bleeding bullet wounds! It was a much newer one with better equipment AND it had alloys! Lovely. Any Polo owner will know, you get in and you've fallen in love. They really are great little cars. My friends have 3 or 4 year old ...

Nissan Micra 1.0 AUTOMATIC

Advantages: Economical, easy parking, nippy and reliable car
Disadvantages: street cred, but lets not be vain

accelerates very smoothly along the taper and there is no judder, it is great - very fast acceleration from a standing start. Dont tell Mum but I have been known to burn many a car when side by side at traffic lights. Speed is helped by the nippy 1.0 litre engine with an incredible 16 valves, very good acceleration power. Also the 1.0 litre engine means fuel economy, the car is unleaded and £20 lasts me a week and is good for over 200 miles depending on the nature of the drive. INSURANCE - £220 Fully Comprehensive (group 1/2) TAX - Small Engine, lowest tax price. SERVICE & mot - In three years no major work, just a couple of tyres, brake pads and wiper blades. Maintenance cost very reasonable, parts affordable and readily availbale from most car spares/ accessory shops. THE STYLE - WELL, it is not cool but it is practical and very ...

My Polo 1.0

Advantages: Strong, Sturdy Car & Little Big Car Feel
Disadvantages: None as Yet

**The Story** I have recently invested in a S Reg 1999 VW Polo 1.0litre. I decided on Volkswagen after Id had a lot of trouble with my first car a Peugeot 106, eeevil things wont go there. Ive always heard that Volkswagens were reliable well built cars though I'd never really taken much notice of them. I needed a small car as Im only 18 and obviouslly petrol prices and more importantly Insurance premiums are a major influence...(If you and not mommy & daddy are paying to keep your car on the road) I looked at a range of Volkswagens and decided on the Polo. I had a look at a range of different mark Polos and decided on the Mk4. Not too dated like earlier mk's and containing more modern equipment too. I looked around and luckily almost immediately spotted a little Racing Green fellow on Autotrader. It was S Reg and had just 37 ...
