Advantages: Good complete package
Disadvantages: Noticeably slows down speed of system once installed

I bought this product after previously using Symantec's security products (anti virus, firewall, anti spam etc.) and because I've always felt safe and secure and have never had any problems with them before, however...... I noticed after installing it, and also after recommending it to approx. 6 friends and installing it on their machines, that it noticeably reduced the speed performance of our PCs, compared with before we installed it. Mainly on booting up the system. The programme itself has to load up all of the components it uses to protect your system before you can start using your PC - fair enough obviously! But in doing this, bootup time is significantly extended. Introduction ************* Norton Internet Security 2005 is an excellent software package offering a large amount of software sold by Norton all in one package. Installation ************* Inserting the CD into the CD-ROM and waiting for the installation to load automatically is half the installation because the user only needs to select where they want it to be installed and what type of installation they want and all that is left is to sit back and wait. With in a few moments the software has been installed and a system restart is needed. When the system has started up again the system will start from now on with the anti virus loading every time as well as the firewall with a couple other features as well. Disadvantages: Some emails still get through the spam detector, you have to pay again after 12 months
