I have only been driving a few years, but had set a record of changing Insurance companies every time my renewal came around as I always found a better quote. Except this time! Last year, Norwich Union Direct offered me the best quote by over £80. This year, my car has been given a few modifications (enough to make a lot of insurers not want to touch me) maily on engine and suspension. I was getting really bad quotes from most insurers, and a lot of "sorry we don't cover modified vehicles" so I assumed that I was going to have to switch to a dedicated performance insurer. I was very surprised when my renewal came through (all modifications had been declared and were on the quote) and it was only £40 more than last year!! This is over £200 cheaper than the best performance specialist could manage, even with a special car club discount!!
The service I receive is great, they are very helpful whenever I have to phone them and anything that needs to be mailed to me arrives promptly.
Next year I will be shopping around, but the competition will have to work hard to beat them.
