My youngest daughter has just turned three and probably the most favourite present she received was her daytime and nightime Lola - hardly a great surprise as she is a huge Charlie and Lola fan!
Lola is a big soft doll probably about 18 inches in length. She is the spitting image of Lola from the TV series down to the big doleful eyes and the scruffy blonde hair! As soon as my daughter saw her she absolutely fell in love with her and would have been perfectly happy if she didn't do anything at all. As it is though, she was beside herself when she discovered that this Lola comes with different outfits so that she can dress and undress her, and even more excited to discover that this Lola actually speaks!!
As described, she is a daytime and nightime Lola so she has things to wear during the day and also for when she goes to bed ...
Advantages: Totally original, excellent film. Disadvantages: Maybe Lola's red hair.
Lola's got 20mins to save her boyfriends life after he phones her on the otherside of town in distress.

With a mind blowing pace and hardcore techno music in the background it's a truely compelling film to watch and infact it will get your own adrenal glands pumping from your seat.
The casting is spot on and I personally find Lola (Franka Potente) to be very attractive though her hair colour does take some time to adjust to. The directing is extremely fresh, with superb panning shots from the urban German city and it's also well worth taking a note down for director/writer Tom Tykwer as I'm sure he'll be bringing more of his wonderful work ...

the book is about a girl who's dad beat her and her mum up so they and her brother moved away with Ģ10.000 they won in the jackpot. they find a house her mum gets a job, a boyfriend and they go to school but then her mums boyfriend goes with her to hospital and her mum finds out that she has breast cancer. her mum loses her boyfriend and her job and has to go and have an operation. lola is worried looking after her brother on her own so she phones up her auntie to come and look after them. thier mum turns very ill but in the end they go and live with thier auntie in the pub and her mum calls it big sister little sister.
its a really good book i enjoyed it
