Wireless ready!

Advantages: Plug-and-Play
Disadvantages: Pricey!

Having tried to connect my 360 via ethernet to my wireless connection, through my Mac or my Windows laptop, and having no success, this provided the only feasible solution. Unfortunately, unlike the PS3, the Xbox 360 is not wireless-ready out of the box, and in order to make it so, you must invest a further £50+, which is quite a pain in the rear. Unfortunately, it seems that, in making the console itself so cheap and appealing, Microsoft aim (as always) to make their money on the peripherals, which everybody needs for the full gaming experience. Nevertheless, this does exactly what it says on the box (sorry to be cliched). WIRELESS GAMING - AT A PRICE

Advantages: Wireless connectivity to Xbox live, Simply to setup
Disadvantages: Ridiculously expensive, Doesn't come in black to match my Xbox 360 Elite

and pictures to brighten up your consoles look. But the biggest appeal of connecting the Xbox to my network is the ability to link up with my PC via the Windows Media Centre; and thus being able to watch, view or listen to the pictures, videos and songs stored on my PC. This function really transforms the Xbox 360 from a dedicated gaming machine into a true multimedia centre for film watching, picture viewing and tune hearing. It must of course be noted though that this can all also be done if you connect your Xbox 360 to your Network via an Ethernet cable, so these are not processes unique to the wireless adapter. Any downsides? Of course there are, it wouldn't be Microsoft without a small sting in the tail. The wireless adapters pricing can best be described as steep; you will do well to find one for much less than fifty pounds - quite ...

Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter Network adapter

Xbox 360 wireless adapter

Advantages: Does exactly what is required of it
Disadvantages: too expensive

The xbox 360 wireless adapter is essentially, exactly what it says on the tine, it is only required as a neccesity to get onto xbox live in a place usin a wireless network, microsfot have seized on this opportunity to charge over the odds for a small piece of plastic , retailing in the region of £60 , especially when you consider the nintendo Wii has a wireless adapter built in. As a product, the adapter is easy to install, clipping onto the back of the console, reliable and discreet, offering flawless online gameplay as if it were connected via ethernet cable. The only downside to this is the price and i for one feel it should be included in the console package to fully compete with other consoles ...
