I have just come across a really great deal on my gas and electricity which will now be supplied to me by NPOWER. i was reluctant at first until i spoke to the sales representative.As i am going to put the house up for sale. When i spoke with the sales rep, i was told that for a 5% premium on the rates that NPOWER charge on their 2009 price freeze , i would recieve me free Boiler cover for a year, i was paying £15.99 per month to British Gas.((315.99X12=£191.88 savings.) on top of that i will also recieve an annual discount of £80(dual fuel bonus), I will not slag off britishgas (i was with them for over 8yrs and my current pricefix just ran out) but the knowledge that the rates on gas and electricity are about to rise significantly AGAIN. I'm absolutely delighted with the deal . I AM A VERY HIGH USER OF GAS AND A LOW ELECTRICITY USER. My savings on my gas and electricity exceeded £9 VAT included.That brought my total savings to just over £357( 9x12 from th reduced rates + £15.99x12 for the boiler cover and last by not least i get £80 after 12mths for paying by direct debit) . i was given the option to freeze my prices until 2011 for a 7% premium which, if i was not selling the house i would have gone for. Instead of doing it myself i recommended my mum and now we will both get a to share £50 worth of M&s Vouchers.(£25 each). The best thing about it all is that i am not tied into the deal and can leave NPOWER at any time without any charges if i could find a better deal.
The thing i found most interesting was a feedback form that the representative gave me with his id numbers so i could leave direct feedback. that was a plus. it is very important that one remembers that there are numerous options available when switching but one should always ensure that it is based on your usage so always keep your four most resent bills and compare the usage per kwh (therm). Npower did not have a standing charge soi will only be paying for the fuel i use and i can sleep at night knowing that i have until august 2009 to sell my house without the fear of having my gas bills go up AGAIN.
