Unique interactive feature that allows the player to change the position of the weapon in the game by raising or lowering the controller itself.

Advantages: update gameplay, smoother running Disadvantages: an all round excelent game
...In terms of gameplay ResidentEvil 4 is dramatically superior to any of its predecessors. The aiming system allows gamers to control the knife using the L shoulder button, and the guns using the R shoulder button, this means the game runs a lot smoother than other ResidentEvil games, where gamers would have to visit the inventory screen every few seconds to toggle between the knife and gun. When aiming at enemies gamer's have a thin red light showing exactly where one will be shooting. This means precise shots will be delivered every single time, and you'll always be able to aim exactly where you wish to. This is just as well, for in ResidentEvil 4 accuracy is the key to everything. If you shoot the knees, the enemy will collapse, this is an excellent tactic if there are many enemies and you want to clear the path a bit to see your...

Advantages: Great gameplay and graphics Disadvantages: Not scary enough
...This is a review for the game "ResidentEvil 4" for the Playstation 2.
I had this game bought for me at Christmas, not long before it had come out, and it still rarely leaves my console! It is my favourite game that I own on any console.
I own ResidentEvil, and ResidentEvil 2 and have played ResidentEvil 3 a little bit. The one big difference between these games and ResidentEvil 4 is that there are no zombies. How can you have a ResidentEvil game without zombies I hear you ask? Well, instead of the slow, flesh-eating infected people of previous ResidentEvil games, you have a new breed-the Ganado! Previously villagers in a little place in Spain, they have been infected by a parasite, and controlled by the villagers "religious leader" hell bent on controlling them and eventually the whole of the USA!
That's why Leon Kennedy (from...

Advantages: Grpahics, Game play, Great Plot Disadvantages: Not enough copies in the stores, Not for the faint hearted

Even if you have never played a ResidentEvil game before I think you could pick this up and really enjoy playing it. Almost all previous ResidentEvil games can now be picked up on Game Cube for £9.99, so if you waned to you could put aside a few months and play the whole series from start to finish.
Playstation 2 owners out there will be able to play ResidentEvil 4 towards the end of the year and if Capcom put as much though into the PS2 version as they did the Game Cube, you should be very excited!

RRP £39.99, but if you look hard enough you can get it for around £29.99 when stock arrives!
I must also quickly mention a special edition Game Cube controller for ResidentEvil 4, a yellow blood splattered chainsaw that can be picked up for about £35, I’ve not used...

ust like the zombies in the games themselves, Capcom has resurrected its gun survivor franchise and has unleashed Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles on unsuspecting Wii owners. The last gun survivor game here in the US came out in 2003 (RE: Dead Aim) more
I'm a big scaredy cat of Resident Evil from Day 1 when we first bought Resident Evil Nemesis for Playstation One. From that day on, I only watch my sister play. But still, being in the audience is just as exciting and gets you to the edge of your seat as more
Do you ever go through those phases where you experience something that you like, and can't help but to try out everything that surrounds it? Well, that happened to me with Resident Evil. I played the first two games shortly after getting my... more

The 3rd film in the Resident Evil series was under pressure from the successes of the first two, and i'm happy to say that it delivered.
