Numark Axis 9 The best value cd deck for rookies and bedroom Djs

Advantages: Consistent, All main effects (scratch + key lock that WORKS)
Disadvantages: No built in memory

I dj 2-3 times a week and often take my equipment in and out of venues so I need equipment that is durable and reliable. Ive had a pair of axis 9's for a few years now. They have turned out to be quite reliable and consistent where more expensive models weren't .. very important if you dj'ing at a gig. If you are a laptop Dj the Axis 9's works fine with all the major software, VDJ, Rockit, Traktor etc. There are some new features on the axis 9's along with all the standard feature on the axis series. Pitch-lock (called key-lock on numarks) is one of the most useful features I use and in my opinion axis 9's do this much better than others in a similar price range like 1200DZ or CDJ 200. They have very decent effects that are really easy to use, most notably, the scratch function which is a direct improvement from previous models like ...

Axis 4's - My Experience

Advantages: User-Friendly, Easy Loop Features, Holds Pitch
Disadvantages: Takes time to get used to the way the cdj works

I've had a set of Axis 4's for nearly a year now, been using them to play on radio in that time. Expectations were high of them to be honest and i was impressed on opening the box. The buttons are alot bigger than i thought from the pictures i had seen online. Setting up the cdj's* was a pleasure and both the phono leads and the power cable are designed in a way so that it stays part of the cdj itself and not sticking out the back. The pitch slider is nice and responsive, and seems to hold pitch well even at +16. Changing into search mode on the jogwheel can sometimes be a nightmare and does take a little time to get used to. You have to push the button that skips to the next track down which can sometimes select the next track instead of entering search mode. Though i have found after getting used to these little quirks that they ...

Numark PHX

Advantages: wires and ear cups can be changed and amazing quality for the price
Disadvantages: ear cups not very comfy and crackles when very loud

The Numark PHX headphones are ideal for anybody wishing to have high quality headphones without paying a price too high. From my own experience I have found these headphones to be ideal for DJ'ing. For the price they are sold it, the quality of the headphones is very high. A good feature for the Numark headphones is the wires and ear cups, which can be changed. This comes in useful for different situations. The only downside of these headphones is the small crackle when they are pushed to the very top of the sound level. However this is only a downside for those people who have the headphones unbelievably loud. Another accessory included in the headphones box is the carry case to move the headphones around. The only thing I could think of for improvement of these headphones is for the ear cups to be a bit more of a comfy fit to the head ...
