I BOUGHT THIS ON THE UNDERSTANDING THAT IT WOULD PLAY ANY DVD MP3 ECT.,
IT PLAYS WHAT IT WANTS WHEN IT WANTS, WHICH IS A PAIN IF YOUR DOING A SHOW. THE SCREEN FLOPS DOWN AND THERE IS NO AJUSTMENT TO TIGHEN IT UP WITHOUT TAKING IT APART. ITS ALSO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS. KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THIS PRODUCT ITS RUBBISH.
I MUST SAY I BOUGHT THIS ITEM EX DEMO BUT I KNOW TWO PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT NEW AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. MAY I ADD ONE OF MY FRIEND SOLD HIS AND GOT LITTLE MONEY FOR IT COMPARED WITH THE PRICE HE PAYED FOR. IT. I HAVE HAD OTHER NUMARK EQUIPMENT THAT WORKS FINE BUT I THINK THIS MODEL IS THE BLACK SHEEP OF THE FAMILY ...

The Numark CDX is one of the best profesional CD players on the market. their reliability raise some questions but as an over all there great. its the closest you can get to a vinyl turntable
the CD player works and looks just like the numark TT direct drive turntable, with 2 start stop buttons and start up speed and break controls and programable pitch controls so you can set it up to feel like almost any turntable you have used before.
you can scratch just like on a real turntable with added features to only play a part of the scratch, the forward or backward part.
The unit also comes complete with effects built in. the effects range from filter to sonar and are controled with a jog wheel for smooth effect ranges.
you can chop, slide, ptich bend, filter and sonar (like phazer)and even play the cd backwards with one touch ...

the axis 8. This is ideal if you are into Hip hop or urban styles of music. The looping buttons are easy to use. You get 2 loop banks to work with, each with their own set of buttons. Once you learn to beat match them, it becomes effortless. The build is sturdy and the buttons are a nice rubber. The wheels have nice feel and are very responsive. The units are very mobile and simple. I actually LIKE the loading tray because there is no confusion when changing CDs. You won't wonder, is there one already in there, you won't ruin labels, and it's less likely to "eat your CD". I've not had a single mechanical problem with them.
If you want to Dj from an external sound bank (mp3 player or your laptop etc) they are good. I regularly use Virtual dj with my axis 9's and they work great. You can scratch, you can loop, you can key-lock, you have plenty ...
