Great Numark Mixer

Advantages: Simple to use
Disadvantages: Lack Of Sound Effects

This was the second mixer I owned after the Numark Bluedog mixer and it was a massive improvement. This is a fairly simple but very reliable mixer to use. It has a simple and easy to use design, perfect for those just starting out as a DJ. The crossfader and the channel faders are smooth. The gains work pretty well but the kill switches are a tad disappointing. I like the fact that the mixer is not flat, it makes it easier to access the knobs and buttons at the top end of the mixer. This mixer lasted me for quite some time, I only needed to spray the crossfader once or twice to remove the crackles that began to creep in after a year or so of use. The only reason I replaced this mixer was to move onto 'bigger and better' things. This would have been a great mixer if some basic effects were included. ...

Review of Numark DM2000X Pro Master Mix

Mixer Review

Advantages: Ease of use, Durability, Great First Mixer
Disadvantages: You will want to upgrade after time, cross fader wont last forever

...etc. The next mixer I buy will be a Numark mixer as I am impressed with the durability and layout of this one. This only reason this doesn't get 5 stars, is that recently the crossfader has started to not completly cut out the left channel. But this is more probably from excessive use, as crossfaders arent something that last forever and can be replaced. One last thing that I will add is that I mix dnb and this mixer works well with this type of music. It has the right response for what you wlll want to do. All in all a good first mixer I would recommend for someone that is starting out. If you have the money to spend a bit more go for it as, for another 50 quid you will get one that does a lot more, but if you are just starting out its prob not worth it if you find out that its not the thing for you! ...

Review of Numark DM950 USB Mixer

Good, solid beginner mixer

Advantages: Low/Mid/High Gain & Kill + Phono/Line Switching
Disadvantages: 2 channels, set-up can be challenging.

The DM-1002 MKII is a solid and good mixer for beginning DJ's. Everything from the stylish design, to the ease of use - is something that makes the mixer normally a join to use. Being able to output to master and record gives the mixer a helpful capability (with each output being able to be gain adjusted) The mixer has two switchable line in & phono inputs, master & record outputs and a helpful crossfader to fade between each channel helps the beginner DJ get a feel for using hardware, rather than software controls. The ability to connect a 1/4 inch microphone (with volume and tone changers) as well as the ability to connect a 1/4 inch headphones (also with volume and tone changers) gives the DJ full flexabity connecting other equipment (such as mics and headphones you already have). I use this mixer to present live dance shows ...
