Advantages: A simple, bombproof, highly efficient, and lovable piece of engineering.
Disadvantages: Plastic hoses, no on-board stowage of accessories.

...As a retired dog owning batchelor cleaning is not my priority in life but removing long white German Shepherd hairs from every square inch of my flat is an ongoing nightmare that just has to be addressed. I borrowed a few vacuum cleaners to see if they would cope including a Dyson which, as an engineer, I thought was a brilliant but over complex concept. It also seemed to have the longevity of a take away container. Eventually having tried a Numatic Henry wet 'n dry which had great "suck" but no powered head I took the plunge and ordered a "Henry Hound". On arrival, and with some trepidation, I unpacked it, connected the hoses etc, put on the 24v power head [which was quite heavy] and pressed the button. My "test" lasted half an hour by which time every corner of the flat was devoid of dog hairs, dust, and even chewed wood... Read review
