Well I thought I'd write a review about this little guy, working in the cleaning profession, I have used the original Henry for many a year, and thought it a very efficient little cleaner, so when our boss equipped us with this new more powerful version I was more than happy.
The Henry Extra, has always had plenty of suction, but this version is even better, I clean a car showroom, which has daily the general public walking through on a regular basis, carrying in allsorts on their shoes, being a car showroom there is plenty of carpet area, not only on the sales floor, but also in the offices which this cleaner handles without any problem.
There is an extra power head with this model for the really grimy areas, where the mechanics talk to the customers, this area always looks grubby even after cleaning, but with the power head, I have found a real difference, I'm not saying it makes it spotless, that would be near impossible, but it does make a visible difference. This head is perhaps a bit to powerful for general house duties, but excellent for a working environment.
There is a charcoal filtration system which again has made a remarkable difference especially when dealing with the offices, even in today's society, a lot of smoking is still done in these offices, and the filter system on this cleaner, goes a long way in deodorising as well as cleaning.
The standard head is a simple, procedure when adjusting from deep to smooth pile or hard floor, just press the right or left head attachment levers with your foot to select the desired brush height.
Simple cable wind, done by hand by rotation of a handle, 10 metres of cable. 9-litre dust capacity, with easy remove and change, dust bag.
Apparently excellent for dust allergy sufferers and pet hair, but as I haven't used this one in the home, I cannot confirm this.
1200 watts of power, plus the power head extra that comes with it, but still not a lot of noise may I had, makes this an excellent choice for an industrial general cleaner, and I cannot see any reason why it should do the job just as well in the family home.
I've done a little homework on prices, and it seems quite varied, with prices ranging from £110-£130 so it may pay to shop around.

Hey thats about a third of the price of a dyson... that'll pay for a lot of bags

Is the power head electric or just driven by the suction on the machine? More info needed particularly what you think about changing the bag - I cant stand the new bags at all!
