Advantages Reaches all of the small spaces, 2 settings available, cheap

Disadvantages bulky and a little heavy and eats clothing!

Weve had the fantastic Henry hoovers since I was little! I've grown up using them and we've never had any other.
We are currently on our third in 18 years, however the second was only replaced because our dog chewed through the wire ... not due to any fault within the hoover!

We could have just replaced the wire however it was broken in 4 various places and us being all girls, we had no clue.
We had two of the old Henry Hoovers and we are now using the Hetty Numatic hover! It's the best we've had so far.
The Hetty Hoover just doesn't sound the same when you call it a 'Hetty vacuum cleaner'.

Design; ....
The Hetty design is pink and black, rather than the red and black for the Henry. It really does give a womanly touch! However this isn't to say men shouldn't hoover up!
The hoover is upright with wheels making it easy to pull around the house when you are changing rooms.
The wire cable wraps up inside the hoover with a nozzle which you easily turn to pull in the cable. The cable pulls out easily itself when the hoover is pulled, avoiding the plug being pulled out!
The cable length is very reasonable! I've never ran out of cable when hovering. However the cable is thin and does very easily get caught under doors and around objects.

Movement; ....
The hoover has a handy handle on the top for ease of movement and carry. The hoover isn't the ligthest! However it's not extremely heavy either.
I wouldn't recommend letting a child try to lift it though as it is rather awkward.
I hate having to move this hoover upstairs because it's quite irritating to bulk around! The very long stick and the weight and bulk of the hoover makes it awkward to carry around so if you're fortunate enough to be able to afford two hoovers, I would certainly recommend buying another for upstairs!
Always make sure the cable is wound in before trying to move the hoover as it adds to the problems and the cable very easily gets caught.

Using; ....
The hoover has two settings, soft and high. There is a red switch button to press to alter the setting.
When first turned on, the hoover will automatically switch on to the soft mode. A simple switch of the red button boosts up the power.
The soft mode is generally for use on wooden floors and dusty surfaces, I always use the hi mode for carpets and rugs as the soft mode just doesn't do the job!

The reason for the two modes is for power saving! This was advertised clearly when we bought this hoover. The switch was described as being for 'environmental friendly' use and I certainly think it's a great idea.
The hoover is easy to use, there's a black cord looking pipe before the metal hose which enables that little extra stretch.
The length of the hose is great, I can easily place the Hetty hoover at the bottom of the stairs and reach all the way up to the top step to hoover... it does take a little stretching for the top few steps though!
There's an adapter which comes with the hoover which is best to use on cars and carpets, however we don't use ours much anymore because we've come so used to just using the pipe.
