Advantages: Unfortunately can't think of one! Disadvantages: Doesn't pick up hair and fluff at times, motorised head works when it feels like it..Manual flex keeps kinking on rewind and jams.

Sorry, but after purchasing one of these vacs a year ago we have experienced nothing but problems with it. The pipe broke when cleaner was just a few months old and the quality of cleaning is just not of a decent standard. The cleaner was returned and pipe was replaced, but they failed to get rid of the terrible odour that the vac exuded from the very beginning - hepa filter, my foot! The top part of the cleaner is awkward to 'slot in' following removing the dust bags and often falls back off. The motorised head just doesn't perform and continually required the hair/fur collected to be cut away. I wish I could think of something positive to say but as my husband sells domestic items to retailers and end users he has decided not to continue with their sale. Would be interested to hear from any other reviewers in the hope that we were just unlucky.
Advantages: Super efficient, light, easy to use, reputation for reliability. Fun! Disadvantages: None
2 years ago my daughter-in-law wanted to buy a Dyson cleaner as her friend said they worked well. I had just bought a Henry and being very pleased with it I tried to change her mind. I told her that Which do not recommend Dyson as they are notoriously unreliable. Unfortunately she did not take my advice and bought a very expensive Dyson (about £300).
2 years down the line, she told me that she has had so much trouble with her Dyson that she intended ... ...had access to a very special discount deal that meant she could buy a Henry Hound fo £90ish. She now reports to me that this is without doubt the best vacuum cleaner she has ever had. The turbo brush works brilliantly picking up her cat's hair and stairs are easy due to the long reach. Best of all she reports that she has not had much chance to use her Henry as her teenage daughter keeps getting him out to vacuum. I think that must be some sort of ...

Advantages: A simple, bombproof, highly efficient, and lovable piece of engineering. Disadvantages: Plastic hoses, no on-board stowage of accessories.
As a retired dog owning batchelor cleaning is not my priority in life but removing long white German Shepherd hairs from every square inch of my flat is an ongoing nightmare that just has to be addressed.
I borrowed a few vacuum cleaners to see if they would cope including a Dyson which, as an engineer, I thought was a brilliant but over complex concept. It also seemed to have the longevity of a take away container.
Eventually having tried a Numatic Henry wet 'n dry which had great "suck" but no powered head I took the plunge and ordered a "Henry Hound". On arrival, and with some trepidation, I unpacked it, connected the hoses etc, put on the 24v power head [which was quite heavy] and pressed the button.
My "test" lasted half an hour by which time every corner of the flat was devoid of dog hairs, dust, and even chewed wood ...
Advantages: Well designed - Easy to Use Disadvantages: No onboard tool holder
I had a Dyson - what more can I say? (read my other review)
After months of tolerating the Dyson I finally cut my losses and looked for a new vaccuum cleaner. I am so glad I did!!
My friend, who is a fanatical cleaner, recommended Numatic Henry and his pals. Numatic design for industry, so their machines are no nonsense, robust and easy to use. They come with a 2 year guarantee which says something for the manufacturer's confidence in their product.
Henry Hound is one of the Henry range of cleaners which are designed to meet a variety of needs. He has an Odourtex filter which extracts doggy (and other) smells from the carpet as he cleans. This really works too.
His other main difference from the standard Henry is a turbo head (the brushes go round). You can buy a turbo head for a standard Henry, but the one that ...
Advantages: Powerbrush Disadvantages: Storage for accessories
I am very impressed with my new Henry Hound vacuum cleaner. You definitely get what you pay for!!! The rotating power-head is brilliant and agitates the carpet picking up all the dust and dirt (and especially dog hair)! I used to find vacuuming very stressful, now I do it with ease! I like that the suction hose is long enough to clean half my stairwell making hoovering that much easier. When purchased it came with a bundle of attachments which are useful although I wish there was a storage compartment on the Henry. I would recommend this vacuum to any pet owner, as it seems to eliminate odours as well. I have read online that the Henry Turbo is identical to the hound, apart from the colour. Overall this is definitely great value for money. ...
