I just love these hoovers as well as being compact in size, hard wearing and good at their job they are fun to use with there faces painted on to greet you each time you vacuum.
The hoover runs by a powerful 1100 watt motor and has an air flow of 45 litres per second.
It has a 9 litre collection capacity, which can be used with or without dust bags, personally I use a bag as they are relatively inexpensive at less than 50p each. The triple filtration system is built to hospital standards so is excellent for use in homes where allergies to dust mites are a problem, asthma sufferers in particular would benefit from this - in simple terms the Henry retains all of what it collects unlike most hoovers who chuck a load back out in to the atmosphere again.
They are reasonably low in noise compared to some hoovers as well, which is a consideration when cleaning some establishments commercially and even at home.
They are designed for many uses both in the home and commercially, we run a small contract cleaning business and own several of these little fellows, they are light weight but solid in construction making them very durable.
At just £85 they are remarkably cheap, they come complete with a good size flexible hose and tools including a crevice tool, dusting tool and upholstery tool ideal for the hard to get at places, ideal for car valeting in fact.
The extra long 12.5 metre cable winds up efficiently for easy storage and the drop down handle makes it very portable.
Spare parts are readily available at a reasonable price, although I have had little cause to buy any, the flexible hoses are what suffer the most wear and tear and so given that I use them commercially have needed to replace a couple but other than that I have not had any major problems at all, in fact I am still operating some of the older style henry hoovers from several years ago, thats how reliable they are.
I have tried several hoovers over the past few years being in the business but these little fellas get my vote any day.
Advantages: Light, efficient, quiet and most of all reliable Disadvantages: None
Some time ago I bought a very old ex-industrial Henry (from a professional cleaning firm) for use at my business premises. Although tatty on the outside, this machine impressed me enough to ensure that I bought a Henry for my domestic use. The Which report on reliability reinforced this decision as it was one of the most reliable cleaners in their tests.
Even my husband likes using Henry - although I am a bit worried as he does ay "Come along Henry" ... ...cannot praise these cleaners enough being light to pull around, efficient, quiet (as vacuums go) and do not seem to lose suction even if the very large bag is getting full. Being fairly compact they are easy to store and the smiley face does seem to encourage the friendly feeling that Henry is your friend helping with the chores. The design seems quite simple eg. you wind in the cable with a handle which means there is less to go wrong. I suspect ...

I've seen George and his smaller brothers ~ James with a yellow face; Henry often red; Charles in blue ~ in various places; all are cheerful and all of them work hard. I've never known one fail to complete a task, and I've seen them smile their way... more
