Nurofen Liquid Capsules

I always find with painkillers, it is best to spend more and get a brand that is well known and fast acting which is why I purchased these Nurofen Liquid Capsules. Normally, I go for the caplet version of these but I couldn't get hold of them when I was in my pharmacy but being Nurofen and the box stating that they 'Target Pain Fast' I thought these seemed like a good alternative. They come in a box that holds 16 liquid caps which is about normal.

PACKAGING

The box for these is the usual Nurofen style which is a silver rectangular box with the logo boldly displayed on the front. It says that they are 'Express' and that they are Ibuprofen and are 200mg liquid capsules. On the reverse of the box are all of the health and safety information and details on how to take these and they also come with a leaflet inside which then goes into further details on who should and shouldn't be using these.

NUROFEN LIQUID CAPSULES

These capsules cover all pain relief, everything from headaches, dental pain, migraines, backache, muscular pains to feverishness, cold & flu symptoms and period pain. These should not be taken if you have or have had 2 or more episodes of a stomach ulcer, perforations or bleeding. Also if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other similar painkillers and if you are taking other NSAID painkillers or aspirin higher than 75mg dosage.

These should be kept out of reach of children and you should get advice from a doctor if you have had asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, a stroke, heart, liver or bowel problems and are pregnant or a smoker. The stated does should not be exceeded when taking these. These are very easy to take and I normally use them for cold & flu symptoms, stomach ache or when I have a headache as these are my most common reasons.

To take these, adults, the elderly and those over 12 years of age should take 1 or 2 with water up to three times a day if needed. There should be a 4 hour period between taking capsules also and no more than 6 capsules should be taken in a 24 hour period. These should not be given to children under 12 years old. I normally take 2 of these when I do take them, they are red see through capsules and go down easy with a drink of water.

I normally find these take about just over an hour to start to tak action but once they do the pain is gone almost instantly. I never really find myself having to take anymore than 2 a time as it seems to be quite strong and keeps the pain away. I think these work fast and are very effective and easy to use and I would happily recommend them to those looking for fast acting pain relied as Nurofen are a brand that definitely work.

COST

These are available from all pharmacists and supermarkets and they will cost you £2 for a 10 pack and £3.37 for a 16 pack which is what I got.
