Grobags Aren't Just For Tomatoes.
Advantages: Provides a safe warm sleeping environment. Disadvantages: They don't make an adult version for me.
...and I picked up a Grobag that was only £2! I only bought it because it was a bargain and I didn't actually think I would use it. I had never heard of them or seen them before. After I had washed it I stored it away, it didn't get used until one day when my son's blankets were being washed I put him into the Grobag and it fitted him snugly and he looked comfortable in it. He slept in it happily and was warm enough when he got up so I decided to continue ... ...temperature rooms 16C-20C) Each grobag comes with a room thermometer which also has an indicator along side it telling you which would be the most suitable tog bag to use at certain temperatures. We generally use a 2.5 tog for most of the year and just change the amount of clothing that my son is wearing underneath, and only when it is very hot we then use the 1.0 tog version. It is a good idea to have two grobags as when one is being washed you ...

Does Grobag have swaddling wrapped up? Maybe!
Advantages: Lovely light material Disadvantages: Luxury item
...with the thermometers, the special Grobag swaddling whatsits are an opportunity for the Grobag empire to persuade you to part with even more of your money to buy lovely, stylish versions of things you can buy cheaper elsewhere but don't want to by the time you see the Grobag version!
Swaddling is a very old-fashioned idea (ask your granny) - the theory is that if your baby is feeling uncertain/unhappy, it can be soothed by being wrapped up tightly ... ...a normal blanket.
The Grobag swaddling whatsit is a piece of thin, stretchy material (with a cute pattern on, of course) that lets you easily wrap your baby (feet first, using the little flap of material, then one long side of the material, tuck it in neatly, then take the other side and tuck it under the baby). We tried the swaddling route a few times and it was useful on a few occasions. I also swaddled him a couple of times to try to keep his ...

gro-bags help with Asthma
Advantages: aids in control of dustmites, pretty Disadvantages: maybe created a fidget sleeper
I looked at this product when my brother in law had their son and could not comment on it except it may be practical, he bought and swears by it and used it very successfully until this last summer.
I had our baby girl in October 2006. by april she was diagnosed asthmatic so I looked at ways to decrease her exposure to allergens.
one place to start was her bed, bedding collects dust and therefore dust mites. by utiising a gro-bag we can throw her ... ...dramatically.
They are a little pricey considering I had bought the bedding for her cot before changing to grobags, but worth it for better nights
I chose the princess Lucy design as it is very pretty and obviously very indicative of a baby girl not boy :o)
it washes vey well and tumble dries at high temperature with no loss of quality.
and with the added bonus that she cant kick off her covers and wakes less as a result.
The only drawback I ...

Snuggly sleeping fun!
Advantages: see review Disadvantages: see review
When Baby Hope was born I bought some 'sleeping bags' for babies which are also known as gro bags and now I can't be without them.
The idea behind the sleeping bag is a practical and safe one. It ensures that your baby doesn't get cold in the night and also helps you to get a better night's sleep instead of getting up and down to put covers back over your baby or to check that they haven't managed to wiggle down their cot and get stuck under their ... ...so as your baby wiggles around in their sleep the suit moves with them this stops the layers of warmth being tossed aside and the baby being left cold. It is a great way to know that your baby is at a constant temperature throughout the night.
The sleeping bag opens right up so you lie your baby in it and then zip the bag up around your baby. Your baby's arms are then free and you just fasten the straps over their shoulders which stops the bag from ...

A snuggly sleeping bag
Advantages: see review Disadvantages: see review
Sleeping bags for babies are perhaps my favourite of the 'baby gadgets' I don't know what I'd do without ours so whoever invented them I am forever grateful!
When babies are sleeping they are just like us adults, they toss and turn. but unlike us, they can't reach for their covers when they manage to throw them off or they can't get themselves back out from underneath them if they wiggle down under them. In the night we were forever getting up to ... ...be forever checking that she hadn't managed to get underneath them. Now that it's getting cold again I would be worried that if she was able to kick her blankets off that she would be too cold in the night and would have to keep checking her again.
Sleeping bags ensure that you don't need to keep checking on your baby for their covers as the sleeping bag stays in place. You zip them up around your baby and the shoulders have little poppers like ...
