Good while it lasted
Advantages: Clear sound, long battery life on battery unit, rechargeable batteries. Disadvantages: Variable quality, design weakspots.
The first monitor we bought never worked. 3 hours wasted trying to get it to work thinking it was me. Second monitor worked for a week and the failed. 1 hour wasted. Third monitor, great, very clear sound, rechargeable batteries in the parent unit that lasted all night. At last, guess we must have been unlucky. However last week it failed. The switch on the parent unit that controls which unit the volume switch applies to broke. I'm not surprised, ...

Excellent Baby Monitor!!
Advantages: Interference free, Upto 250m range, out-of-range indicator. Disadvantages: None
...around i came across the Philips SC363.
It is a high performance cordless monitor that lets you listen to your child from wherever you are in and around the house. It can be operated using the power leads or with batteries.
The baby unit operates cordlessly for up to 30 Hours!!!
It is interference free, range of up to 250m, out-of-range indicator, portable parent unit, adjustable microphone sensitivity and continuous communication link, battery ... ...on or off, when it is off the green lights will move up and down.
This is an excellent monitor and well worth the money. It isnt expensive and has really good quality's. The best thing about the monitor is the NO INTERFERENCE! There is nothing worse than thinking you can hear your baby crying only to find that they are fast asleep! 5 Star!!!!!
I brought it for £39.99 from Boots but it is sold in quite a few places and at different prices. ...

Bumbo Seat - Useful for about 4 weeks
Advantages: Good for getting them to sit up in the in-between stage before they can do it themselves Disadvantages: Bulky, not used for long
...heard great things about these Bumbo Seats & I'm sure for some people they are great but we found it very different to others so thought I would let you know...
We purchased ours from Mothercare along with a tray which fits onto the seat, it was £36.99. It comes in various colours (blue, pink & red) & is quite heavy. The bumbo basically has a shape of a babies/young childs bottom in it so they can sit in & be comfortable...it encourages them to ... ...& then crawling so the bumbo became redundant...we used it for nearly 3 months & even then it wasn't every day or often really. We thought it would be useful to take to peoples houses but it wasn't really transportable in a nice way, no carrier bag was big enough, it doesn't fold so you were carrying something that on the underneath resembles a 'pigs bottom' shape! :-) & the tray was taken seperately as sometimes it would fall off or it just made ...

RAinforest baby swing - every mum should have one !!
Advantages: spinning animals, swinging movements, soothing music. Disadvantages: may come of floor on highest setting slightly.
This is a great swing that sooths any baby that goes in it. I have two baby cousins who as soon as you put them in this swing they are instantly quiet and are sleeping in minutes.
It comes with a little song and outdoor sounds. It has about 6 different swinging motions and allows your baby to swing from side to side or front to back. There are little rainforest animals at the top and turn round along to the song. But make sure you have plenty of ... ...is playing but there animals are just hanging there, believe me iv been there and it's loud !!
It has a well padded seat so your baby can lounge back while having a little swing listening to there music and watching there furry friends !!
It folds away for easy storage and is suitable from birth. The only thing i could say to critacise this is if you do set the swing to it's highest it does come of the floor a little bit, but not anough to tip ...
