Barnaby Bear mamas & papas moses basket
Advantages: looks lovely and is sturdy Disadvantages: same as with all moses baskets- will prob only last for approx 3 months
...retailer rather than direct from Mamas and Papas as this saved us around £20 and only cost us approx £60. the stand cost us £20. I would suggest always searching for a bargain online or on ebay as its always cheaper than from the main retailer. It comes with a foam mattress that can be replaced for approx £10 if you need another. It has a shade type hood although i found it didnt tend to stay up very well. The sleeping area is 13 inches (33cm) wide ...

None standard sized cot
Advantages: Because of big size lasts longer than an average cot Disadvantages: Hard to getting bedding & mattress to fit and expensive when you do, only one mattress position
...It is made by Mamas and Papas and is a nice cot. It’s white and has a drop side. However it has a problem – it is bigger than most non Mamas and Papas cots so if you need a new mattress or bedding you either have to buy them from Mamas and Papas and they are quite expensive or you have to get them elsewhere in which case they tend to be more expensive than standard ones.
In the end we bought a mattress made to size however not Mamas and Papas and ... ...too small and requires a bit of fiddling around with, for example I put the top sheet and blankets on sideways, not ideal but much cheaper.
The other problem with this particular model is that it only has one mattress position so when baby is very young you have a long way down to reach, especially if they are asleep and you are trying to put them in the cot and not wake them.
The good side to the cot being bigger is that it will last for longer ...

MAMAS AND PAPAS CLASSIC TRAVEL COT
Advantages: easy to assemble and use Disadvantages: thin mattress, very heavy
...free.
They had the Mamas & Papas Classic Travel Cot, with a retail value of £40, so I decided to grab it.
M & P are currently selling this travel cot on their website for £35.00, a reduction of £5.
It can also be used as a playpen, which will be great when she is a bit older and crawling and I need to pop her somewhere safe for a moment.
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE AND IS IT EASY TO ASSEMBLE?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Well, ... ...any length of time.
Mamas & Papas do sell a mattress to go with the cot, which is £25. This would bring the total purchase price to £65, and of course the mattress will not fold up into the carry bag for the travel cot. However this mattress is 4cm deep and has a removable washable cover.
Our baby will probaby outgrow her Moses basket before we want to put her in her cot in a separate bedroom, so we will probably buy the mattress so that we can ...

Modern cot for a modern baby
Advantages: Looks lovely Disadvantages: Pricey
...Luckily I have a Mamas and Papas store near so I went and had a look at it. It looked even in better in front of you than in the pictures
It was a well known make, Mamas and papas, was in my price range and was part of a set so that was it I had to have it. The cot bed cost £325 if you buy straight from Mamas and papas. Though if you look around your find the price can vary and you may be able to get it a bit cheaper by about £50 by looking around ... ...I feel is reflected in the quality of the cot as it looks and feels solid. Mine is over 2 and half years old and is still going strong and still looks lovely. It is made from maple with chrome corners in each corner of the cot and the feet are cylinder shape and are painted silver. The silver paint on the feet has had a few paint cracks in them but nothing serious. It has the modern look to it, light in colour and simple looking and with none of ...

Hush little baby - a place for you to sleep!
Advantages: john lewis value Disadvantages: not really drop sided
...are shopping for your baby, John Lewis is always a good place to head. Though they are, perhaps, less well known for their baby products on the British High Street than Mothercare, in my experience most of their products are more reasonably priced than their better known competitor, and they also provide a fantastic service in terms of guiding parents to be through the maze that is "buying things I will actually really need for my baby". This particular ... ...which we purchased seperately from John Lewis. You could buy any mattress from any supplier, the cot is standard "cot size" (L125 x W68.5 x H90cm), and will fit standard cot bedding - as opposed to Cot Bed bedding. If you are hesitating between this and a cot bed (cot that transforms to a bed), it is handy to know that the range does come with a matching changing table (£77 now and less than we paid). There is also a matching toddler bed at a similarly ...
