Disadvantages: A bit expensive
The Mothercare Sleepright mattress comes in either sprung - between £79.99 and £99.99 depending on size or foam - between £24.99 and £79.99 depending on size. Both types have a zip off CoolMax Active Panel that can be zipped off and washed at about 60 degress. The mattress has a knitted texture on one side that is supposed to draw moisture ... ...70x140cm - foam/sprung
The Mothercare magazine says that they do a variety of special sizes also.

Sleep tight!
Review of Dupont Sleepright Coolmax foam crib mattress by
karagerrie
Advantages: Keep baby cool and prevents overheating
Disadvantages: Expensive
The Mothercare Coolmax foam mattress costs about £34.99 however it comes in a variety of sizes costing between £24.99 and £79.99 depending on size.
The matress has a CoolMax Active Panel that can be zipped off and washed at about 60 degress. Mothercare say that this is hot enough to kill dust mites and help prevent asthma, skin rashes and other allergies. The mattress has a knitted texture on one side that is supposed to draw moisture away from ... ...in turn help to stop overheating and to take awy the smell of little accidents!!. Once this is removed the mattress is PVC and can be wiped clean. The zip off layer is 100%polyester.
I have to admit that at first we were confused which side we were meant to have baby on as the other side is a nice finish and the knitted side has the care label attached so we thought that it was possible that this was the non sleep side, so we checked with mothercare. ...

PURFLO COT MATTRESS
Review of Pur Flo Cot Mattress by
paulinewilliams72
Advantages: 100% WASHABLE; 100% BREATHABLE; 100% ANTI ALERGENIC; 100% SAFER THAN OTHER BABY MATTRESSES
Disadvantages: NONE
My baby needed the safest mattress I could find - yet non of the mattresses I looked at offered me what I preceived as safe. Some were breathable, have you tried actually breating through them, very different from what I think is breathable. Anti alergy and dust mite repellant, no-one could convince me; hygeinic some were partly washable so some of the mattress would be clean; could I get a mattress with no chemical to make it fire retardant - no; ... ...fell confident it was still OK - no I was told "new baby new mattress" why I asked, I found out the reason was that the mattresses over time build up all sorts of moulds and fungi as well as millions of house dust mites so I was ten expect to spend another £100 plus for my next baby.
That was until I found he PurFlo mattress! I can see it is obviously the safest mattress; 100%25 breathable (truely breathable) air can circulate around my baby allthe ...

Peace of Mind
Review of Mothercare Spring Interior Cotbed Mattress by
annalouise
Advantages: Peace of mind
Disadvantages: None
...a spring interior matteress from mothercare with a coolmax cover. I opted for the sprung over foam interior for my baby's comfort and support. Although apparently sprung matteresses can interfere with the baby monitor if you have a baby sensor pad underneath it, this was not a problem to me because I don't have that device. If you do, then you probably need to get some advice before you choose a spring interior over a foam interior. Spring interior ... ...The prices I saw in mothercare vaired alot depending on whether you wanted a spring/foam interior and whether you wanted a coolmax cover. Prices appeared to start quite low for tiny crib matteresses at about £20 but for a large cotbed, you might have to fork out about 100 quid if you want a spring interior and the coolmax cover. ...

Change mats, protecting mats.
Review of Pampers Pampers Change Mats by
rktnv
Advantages: Versatile, easy to carry and store
Disadvantages: none
...I began to use the pampers change mats and they were fantastic - they really saved my carpet!
They basically have a plastic type layer on the bottom which is lilac and has printed teddies on, the top layer is quilted in a diamond pattern - this is what absorbs the wet and the plastic layer is what stops it going through to anything underneath the mat.
Other uses for them include - protecting fabrics after giving birth(dont need to go into too much ...
