Where do I start, this phone is awesome. I've had it for a while now, I bought it through o2 for £99.

This is a MUST for anyone who likes gadgets, it really does have everything and DOES everything!

Firstly it is a great phone - easy to use touchscreen or stylus operation, good sound quality. The contacts list is easy to use, allowing for storge of huge amounts of data per person.

I can acces smy POP3 emails with ease anywhere through the GPRS service from o2, that works very well, not as slow as you might think. It has full WiFi connectivity - allowing you to connect to any wireless network. As I have said before I have a wireless broadband connection in my house, and connecting the xda to it was instant, no messing with settings or anything. This will work the same in airports, trainstations, cafe's etc, anywhere that has a WIFi connection. It is 520Mhz processing speed, which is faster that all current PDA's! (Intel PXA272 - 520MHz)- 128mb of SDRAM, 128mb of FLASH and 59mb of internal in built in memory.., and an expansion slot(SD)

The MP3 player is wicked, has Windows media player, you can get Realplayer or Winamp if they tickle your fancy as well. The number of applications and games that are out there for free is quite amazing, I even use the xda to control my entire tv end entertainment centre using the remote control facility.

I contacted o2 regarding tekky email settings and got email replies within a couple of hours - so tekky people don't worry.

You can watch encoded movies and videos, I've been watching some episodes of futurama and a couple of films on the train, you can fit a SD card in the top, I have 1 gig of storage for all my files, works a treat!

The screen is nice and large, 65k colours, (65K Colours, 3.5", 240x320) which is actually the most limiting part of the xda, but makes very little difference. Lots of settings and programs to fiddle around with to pass the time, works just like any other Microsoft operating system, so feels good from the start. You can do work within Microsoft Word, or even Excel - Microsoft money is availible in the internet also.

A cradle is supplied with the phone, the phone slots in to it, but I must say it's not the best bit of the kit, the phone just does not clips in quite right...I can see that breaking in the future...oh and another thing, the phone rattles a little but I guess that is the vibration device or something. The cradle plugs into your PC via a USB port and Active Sync program automatically starts up and connects...this allows you to transfer and sync files very easily.

This phone/pda/pocket PC is useful for anyone, from just a phone user to a businessman. Has everything you could possible need. The battery works for days, using the WIFI does eat battery though, but you don't have to have it on all the time anyway. It is quick and easy to charge. Battery is 1300mAH The phone is nice to hold, a good weight with a metal shell, so it just feels well made. "Talktime up to 4 hours Voice standby up to 170 hours DA usage up to 15 hours"

Input - The stylus is very easy to use, the touchscreeen responds very well, it has a transcriber so that you can write in your handwriting and it will change it into text, ideal when you are writing emails or texts.

If there is anything you want to know extra about this phone please leave me a message in my guestbook, I am happy to help if you have any probs etc. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
