I have been with o2 for around 5 years now, I was previously with Orange Pay as You go, I wanted to stay on a Pay as You Go mobile so I decided to get an O2 Genie Sim, at least then I would get 300 free texts a month!!!

~~~~~ Genie Sim~~~~~~
This is a Sim card which is exactly the same as a basic Pay as You Go Sim, only providing you top up at least £10, you will receive 300 free text messages a month!! Therefore if you first ever top your phone up on the 1st of the month, and you top up during that month, you will receive your next set of free texts on the 1st of the next month.
The texts you don't use within that month do not roll over into the next month.
This Sim card was so convenient for me as I use more texts than I do minutes.
~~~~~o2 Rewards~~~~~
O2 are excellent at rewarding customers for their loyalty. A scheme they have had running for about a year and a half now, is that every 3 months you receive 10% back from all your top ups.
Sometimes I top up around 50 pound a month, so at the end of the 3 months I end up with £15 free credit.

This loyalty scheme fits in perfectly with o2 and the way they do things, I have always found their customer serve to be excellent, the advisors are helpful and whenever I have phoned up I have been made to feel valued as a customer.
Even on my birthday last year I got a few pounds worth of free credit, a happy birthday message and a lolly sent to my house!!
I have only ever had a bad customer advisor once, I thought she was rude, and so I asked her if I could be transferred over to a different advisor, and I was. So I ended up being satisfied anyway!!

~~~~~o2 talkalot more~~~~~
This is an add on that as an o2 pay and go customer you can use if you have been with o2 for 6 months or more. This is for all those big talkers!!!
The add on works a lot like the free text messages. I.e. based around an anniversary date which will be the same every month providing that you top up the correct amount.
If you top up £15 or more within the month, then on your anniversary date you can receive 150 free weekend and evening calls to any mobile or landline.
If you top up over £30 within the month then you will receive 300 free minutes at evenings and weekends!!! Cool huh!!!???
As if all these deals didnt make your life easy enough, o2 now also offer a new deal called o2 long weekends; this is new and changes over at period of months.
The reward means that if you subscribe to o2 Long weekends, every Saturday, Sunday and Monday you will receive an offer, at the moment, the offer is for those days you will be able to send free messages to any o2 mobile!!
All these deals make pay as you go an easy option, one which I would rather stay with, even after 5 years!!!
I feel like a valued customer with o2!!!
~~~~~Reception~~~~~

Whilst being with o2, the network/reception I receive has definitely improved, a few years ago there were a few places I went too, which I new would give me no network.
But now I rarely find myself with no network and so I am happy!!

The line is usually clear as crystal which makes it less stressful for me (don’t like it when I can’t hear people!)

~~~~~voicemail~~~~~
Alas!! A problem let me ask you if you agree this is annoying..........
You have no credit....someone rings you, you miss it.....they leave a voicemail! And you need 10p credit to listen to it!!!!!!! ANNOYING!!!!!
No one really leaves me voicemails :(
But I can imagine that it is annoying!!!!
~~~~~website~~~~~
I like the o2 website; it is clear and easy to navigate around thanks to the easy menus!!!
The website is designed well (I hate it when they look really budget!!)
And their email response system is within 24hours so it’s easy to get a response!!
On the website there is a free texting system, as long as you register on the o2 website, every month they will give you 10 free text messages.

~~~~~Phones~~~~~~
O2 offers many phones with the network, practically all of them! The only disadvantage I have found is that, when I was going to move over to a contract deal, I was less likely to get the handset free like I would on other networks.
~~~~prices~~~~~
From an o2 phone to another o2 phone the call is so cheap, after a few minutes it works out to around 5p a minute.
A text message to any network is 10p which is standard.
Calls to other networks can cost a fortune. which is why i usually text or keep it short...like most young people. this is probably a reason why o2 is popukar amoungst youngsters.

I have no real problems with this network. I am continually satisfied and I would recommend it to anyone!!!
