Do you have time to spare
Advantages Money making! Investment!
Disadvantages If you don't have the right information you could loose money! Be aware of it!
Hollywood certainly is one of the most fashionable places in the world but is not that glamorous as it uses to be. Well time goes by and things changed, but our memory does not allow us to forget what now is past. Back to the olden days…
Antiques in general can be something valuable, collectable or just something beautiful and fashionable, but often you will find above the style one thing that it should be considerate – quality. When comparing the past and the present times, the big difference is that we haven’t got the time to spare, everything has to be done in a minute and this sort of attitude or the speed that we’ve got to live is that make the quality of the things goes down the rain. Everything now is so mechanized that loose the touch of humanity.
The question is…Why the things from the past, generally speaking, is always coming back to make part of our lives , it can be from music from the 70’s, fashion from the 50’s, jewellery from the 40’s, furniture from the XVIII century, etc… ? Another question…Why do we need to go back to rescue all those things if we have our own modern items full of technology that makes possible to boil the kettle in 1 min and take a cup of tea in another 1 min? Why some people want to have old cups that can be broken easily when they can have a dish washer proof one? Does it make sense? Yes it does! The modern industry cannot do anymore what the past industry did, because time changed a lot and they have to adapt (compact, easy storage, easy replace, etc…) therefore the olden items has great value attached to it that sometimes you would not believe how much would cost you a complete Meissen tea set, or Royal Worcester, or a Regency table even. Where there is money involved there are money makers, or dealers, or private collectors, interested in fulfil your needs. That’s why antiquities are fashionable, and antiques are sough after. Have you notice the spread of the TV programs about antiques lately? Go to www.bbc.co.uk/antiques and take a look. The BBC has a lot of information on antiques fair, what you should look when buying a bargain, selling and buying guide, and the list goes on. It is interesting!
This opinion is NOT “Made in China” and cannot be copied!!! Just joking!!!
