I decided to buy this nail varnish after having a disaster on holiday where I dropped my full bottle of Jessica coral nail varnish on the villa floor spilling the entire contents over my leg and the floor! : ( I liked the Jessica colour but I wanted something more orange…after searching the whole Jessica range and not finding anything I tried the Opi nail varnishes and found the 'Atomic Orange' colour, which looked bright orange! I wouldn't have had the next idea about where to find Opi nail varnishes, other than beauty salons which was where I had first noticed the brand. Packaging
I was a bit worried whether it would be the same colour it looked on the internet, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and really was the bright orange I had expected! The Opi nail varnishes come in really nice quite expensive looking bottles. The bottle itself is quite plain with clear glass and simple black lettering. The lid is tall and black, making the bottle look simple but classy.
The Nail Varnish
The first time I tried the nail varnish I could tell straight away that it was an expensive brand. The colour swept on really easily, it wasn't sticky or hard to apply at all, yet wasn't watery so the colour came out really well. Usually even with the Jessica colours I have to apply 2 coats but with this colour of the first coat was enough on its own. The colour comes out exactly as it looks in the bottle, bold and bright.
The brush also makes it easier to apply as it is specially designed to spread out on the nail covering the whole nail in one stroke. This meant that application was quick and I made less mistakes, it came out looking really neat.
The varnish also has a nice shine finish which I didn't really expect. I still put a top coat on to keep it from chipping for longer, but even without this it would have been high shine.
It dried really quickly and overall took a lot less time because only one coat was needed. As I said I always put a clear top coat on with bolder colours, so its hard to say how long it would normally last, but with the top coat on it lasted for the whole weekend until I had to remove it for work. I had no problem removing the varnish at the end of the weekend and it hadn't stained my nails in any way.
Overall Opinion
I'm really pleased to have finally found the colour I want and would recommend it to anyone looking for a bright colour. I would definitely buy another Opi nail varnish next time I want a new colour, and would recommend them. I can understand now why they are so popular in beauty salons. I do think they are slightly overpriced when bought at the RRP so would look out again on ebay next time I want one.
Advantages: Great choice of colours Disadvantages: Not sold in many shops
...heard lots of recommendations for OPI Nail Lacquers, so when I noticed that my local Boots sold them (by the instore nail bar), and that they were reduced to half price (I got them for £4 each, which was a great deal!), I grabbed a load of them! I should point out that they were reduced because the nail bar was closing down and they wanted to get rid of some stock.
OPI have most amazing range of colours to choose from - it took me a long time to ... ...not stated on the bottles, OPI varnishes do come in different finishes. Some are normal (glossy), some are pearly, some are shimmery etc. It's probably best to test them in a shop before buying, to make sure that you like the finish of the colour that you like.
OPI polishes are long lasting compared to a lot of other nail varnishes that I have tried. Most varnishes chip on me within a day (what can I say, I'm quite active!), but this can last between ...

OPI NAIL ENVY
This is simply one of the best products for nails I have ever tried. Everything from NAIL BUFFERS to LIPSTICKS. First on my list would be NAIL ENVY,approx..£13.00 for a 15ml bottle. This works wonders on out of condition nails, it comes in 2 varieties, there is one which has a high gloss finish and the other which is matt(ideal for those of us who are not allowed to wear nail polish to work). NAIL ENVY strengthens and conditions the ... ...a long black lid with OPI emblazoned on top. The brush is made of good quality bristles which dont come loose and fall off,it spreads nice and evenly across the nail to give a very professional finish. The coverage is superb I usually only apply one coat, but if I want to make an immpression I wear 2. To keep my polishes in tip top condition I keep them in a cool place, ideally the fridge,(but mines not big enough)this will stop them from getting ...

...and foudn that they used OPI nail polishes. I had seen them at QVC but thought, bah, a nail lacquer is a nail lacquer and they are all the same so why pay 5 to 7 pounds for a bottle when you can have one for 2 or 3? It just didn´t make any sense, but I asked the manicurist about the brand and she said it was the one they used because of its quality and because it really lasted a long time. I thought, well, we´ll see if this really lasts.
Two weeks ... ...getting too long and it was still there.
I know that they use different products and top coats in the salons, so I decided to try it myself and see what the results were without all the stuff. I managed to find a couple of colours I liked in ebay. One was a dark browny mauve and the other is a light creamy beige. As you know prices vary in ebay but I got mine for 4.99 plus postage. (treating myself again...)
The bottles are bigger than the usual ...

Advantages: Easy to apply Disadvantages: not widely available
OPI has an extensive range in their nail lacquer colours and brings new ones out several times a year. The colours are extremely fashionable, as they base their new colours on future clothes trends. I used to see OPI advertised on QVC and wondered if they were 'all that', so one day I decided to order some and WOW.
The handle of the brush is chunky and weighted, which makes it so easy to hold correctly. The brush glides with every stroke, and does ... ...two coats. OPI nail lacquers are also chip resistant and last for days without needing touched up. OPI nail lacquers also last for years - I have some colours from 5 years ago that are still a perfect consistency and that I still use from time to time. As well as having an extensive range of colours, OPI also have nail and hand treatments.
Nail Envy is OPI's strengthener. This is also an amazing and versatile product which can be used on bare nails ...

I had the Friday off work and was dropping off a batch of charity books when I decided to pop into a fairly new beauty shop. There they had a massive range of OPInailvarnish and a very helpful assistant - I told her of my YSL predicament and she echoed my findings ...
I tried this for the first time over the weekend. I wanted a black nailvarnish, and although I?m a fan of Jessica and OPInail stuff, I wanted a cheaper one this time because I only intend it to wear for a night out so it doesn?t need to last ages or be really good quality. I chose Rimmel because I already buy some of my makeup from there and there was a 3 for 2 offer on in Boots on the Rimmel counter.
I?d heard that the Lycra wear range is supposed to be really good and as well as lasting ages they prevent nails from breaking while it is on. It costs £4.50 for the bottle when you buy it from Boots which I think is a reasonable price.

I don't know about you but it is not just the will power that you need to stop bitting your nails but also REALLY quick results.
If this sounds like you then Nail Envy is a fab investment.
It comes in lots of different types but my favorite is the original.
It is a clear varnish that leaves your nails with a great shine.
There are directions for use included in the box but in a nut shell you paint the stuff on your nails everyday for about 7 days. After that you remove with nailvarnish remover and start again.
The difference with OPI to other types of nail strengthener is that it really does work. The results are great and your nails seem to grow really quick. For impatient people like me that is a real plus.
It is qut expensive when you compare it to other strengtheners on the market but I would not even consider ...
