The screen protectors I purchased cost just over £6 which is £2 each and this to many of you may indeed seem a bit pricey, myself included. This really is not the case when you consider the protection you get for your 2 quid.

This pack of 3 oblong plastic sheets are advertised as screen protectors for PDA's. Whilst they are suitable for this purpose may I suggest that they can also be used to protect the screen on your mobile phone.
We are all in such a rush these days that even our prized possessions just generally get thrown into our pockets or handbags. In turn they get scratched and damaged and are in desperate need of some better form of protection than the flimsy little thin protector they come with.
The screen protectors I purchased cost just over £6 which is £2 each and this to many of you may indeed seem a bit pricey, myself included. This really is not the case when you consider the protection you get for your 2 quid.
The sheets of plastic come oversized for all PDA's and must be cut to size making it very easy to cut one to fit the screen of your mobile. A template is provided for most models of PDA, but guess what mine was not one of those on the list. This meant that I had to measure my screen then cut a bit to size, not really to much of a hassle.
To facilitate proper adhesion of the protector it is imperative that you clean the screen thoroughly and ensure it is dry. This can be done with mentholated / white spirits or something like that which has been squeezed from a chunk of cotton wool until the cotton wool is only moist. Wipe the screen and remove all evidence of grease especially that which comes from hand creams and the like.
The next bit is tricky because you need three blinking hands to do it correctly, but as I said it is definitely worth persevering. You place one of the thin ends of the protector until it is aligned with the bottom of the screen to be protected. Using the cardboard squeegee supplied gently work your way up the screen removing bubbles as you go. Once you have completed this check for tiny bubbles which might have appeared and work them to the side of the protector, until they have all gone………………………voila JOB DONE.
This will stay on your screen until you need to replace it which should not be sooner than 6 months if you have done it correctly. The reason I say six months is that after time and exposure to sunlight the plastic film may in some circumstances become a little brittle, this is not a fault just a natural process, and therefore replacement may be required. Using a thin sharp object simply raise one corner of the screen protector to be removed and peel it off. It may be best to use this as a template for the new protector.
Especially on touch screen devices I have found this product to be nothing short of superb. They are filtered to eliminate glare. There is after a while slight evidence of marking on the surface, but this is only to be expected when it is being pounded by a stylus ( next review ) continually. My current protector has been fitted for about 8 months but is showing signs of needing replaced, so 8 months protection for £2 ain't bad in my book. Failure to use a product such as this can mean that your screen becomes pitted and marked beyond repair and might even get to the point where certain parts of it are unresponsive to stylus presses. Protect and save time and money.
They can be obtained in shops like Maplins, but generally are easiest to get from the many sites on the internet which cater for products as obscure as this.
