SPV C500, Pass or Fail User Test

Advantages: High Quality, plenty of features
Disadvantages: Reliability issues

I recently changed to Orange so that I could get a hold of one of these. First impressions of this phone are very good. The handset is quite light for the type of phone and the build quality and finish are perfect. The screen and keyboard are easy to use and understand. Battery life is fantastic. The other great thing is the charging. It can be done via a normal USB cable to your PC which can be more than useful and is even better seeing as Orange actually supply one with the phone. Phone features are quite good and include all the usual mobile features of today. With the smart technology and the OS onside they become far more useable than normal phones. Apps on the phone are easy to use and understand but options in some of the menus get a little confusing due to the high number of things you can do. Sound quality in calls is ...

The Microsoft SPV C500

Advantages: Large clear screen, MiniSD card support, Media Player 9, Outlook, MSN, LOADS of software
Disadvantages: Because it does alot may take a bit of time (playing with) to get used to it.

The phone is superb from the inside out. The look of the phone is nice, cleek and modern. It fits well in your hand and is faily easy to use. It is not too weighty and the battery lasts for days and days, even when playing music. I have found that a upgrade to a 512MB MiniSD card is a well worth wile investment, a whole new world opens upforthe C500. With the ability to store loads of music, videos, pictures, and software makes this phone the best ever. The range of software is simply unbelieveable. With large companies producing games and applications for the Smartphone (Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition Smartphone). Also Microsoft gives you the ability to design and make your own software with the use of Visual Studio and Embeded C++(programming knowledge needed!). The things I have found to let this phone down is the lack of help ...

SPV C500

Advantages: So many great features, windows compatability
Disadvantages: poor build quality, dust under screen

This phone is the most versatile and easy to use mobile ive ever owned. It has loads of really useful features including, MSN messanger, windows media player, expandable memory. Getting a new mini SD card for this phone really opens it up as a portable media device. I got my SD card off ebay for about £25. Its a 512mb and it lets me use the phone as a mp3 player and can store loads of games, videos and photos. The media player lets you get any video off your computerand play it on your phone. its perfect quality and doesnt jump around at all. The only bad thing about using the SPV as a portable media player is the ear phones. There not very comftable and i dont think there are any replacements so your stuck with them. The bad parts are the camera which is a VGA and is pretty terrable for anthing thats closer than 2 meters away ...
