Most notebook computers now though are shipping with integrated media card readers for flash memory cards used in digital peripherals. Unfortunately Dell still has not included this in its budget computers. Graphics on the Inspiron 2200 are a bit mixed. The system is designed to use either a 15" or 14.1" LCD panel. In the case of the budget systems, it uses the smaller 14.1" LCD screen even though the case dimensions are for the larger 15" screen. Driving the graphics are the Intel GMA 900 integrated graphics. With the D-series Dell introduced new accesories that would not be compatible with the older models of altitude, but Dell have promised to keep selling these products for at least 5 years, which was quite helpful of them! I found overall performance of this machine very satisfying, it ran all my applications and games very quickly and even when running apps requiring high memory usage it never jerked or crashed. It maintains a smooth performance for nearly all uses! The D800 Latitude line with a wide-screen offering also, something most other companys don't include i found. In conclusion this is a very high performance Laptop for a reasonable price of around 700 pounds if you shop around. Its portable with a decent battery life but more importantly, you are getting a business ready computer at a competitive price. If you want to play games, browse the net and email then buy a Dell Inspiron. If you want high end performance with exceptional design and content engineering capability, then buy the Dell Precision. If you want a laptop that is built for mobility and performance then buy the Latitude. Its important for me not to say that you can have 'x' and 'y' specification as it comes in a number forms, and probabley wouldnt mean anything.
