I bought a solid mahogany bookcase from this site back in early july. It has just been delivered in late september, though the site did state that delivery could take up to 16 weeks on this item. I did have some concerns due to a few reviews where quality was an issue. Now I have the product I have to say that it does look very nice. It is very solid and has nice lines, and it was shipped mostly assembled so I just had to slot the shelves in. Looking closely at this product it is clear that it is not constructed of 'furniture grade' wood - there are natural defects in the wood in just a few places, and these have been sloppily filled with some generic white filler before the item has been stained - generally in non-prominent places, though there is one on the front face of the lowest shelf that I notice at least! One corner of the case has also lost a couple of splinters of wood around an inch long at some point before staining so the corner is not quite crisp and square along its full length. If you look too closely you can also see occasional brush-marks where the stain has been applied. On the other hand it is a solid mahogany bookcase for around the price of a decent pine one, or half the price of other solid mahogany bookcases. And it looks great from anywhere over two feet away. Provided you are not an absolute perfectionist with an unlimited budget then this is a very nice budget-priced solid wood piece of furniture. The service and the product lived up to my expectation - not 100% perfect, but pretty good considering the price!
