Advantages: Quiet (with mod), removable water tank, air direction control, cheap Disadvantages: Water tank could do with being bigger (I'm being picky here!)
I was looking for a relatively decent air con unit last Friday due ot the extereme heat. I was torn between the Focus 12000 BTU Hinari unit and the 14000 BTU unit I'd seen in a B&Q catalogue (NOT the split unit as seen on their website) and luckily I managed to test both of them so here is my review/comparison.
Cooling:-
The B&Q unit is rated at 14000 BTU's vs the Hinari unit which is rated at 12000 BTU's. From what I could feel in the store I'd say the B&Q unit does feel slightly cooler but not by a huge amount. In an average sized room I'd say you might get an extra 0.5 to 1 degree celsius off your room tempreture.
For reference, the Hinari cooled a 9sqm office I was working in from 30c to 25.2c in around an hour and also drastically reduced the humidity. This made the office competely bearable again.
Noise:-
The Hinari ...
Advantages: It does really work and it's a good price. Disadvantages: None that I can see. Depends how long it lasts.
OK, so a nose and ear trimmer is not exactly everyone's idea of a "must buy" product is it? Right? Wrong!
Just like body odours, hairy legs and armpits, rampant hair growth from one's ears, brows and nasal orrifices will haunt most of us at some stage in our lives. I know because, I've been fighting a rearguard action for some time now - and slowly losing.
Well, no more because this little beauty works! (and, believe me, I've tried em all and the Philips NT9110 really does the trick) You can hear the hairs being removed and that's the acid test as far as I'm concerned. The last appliance I bought just hummed pleasantly without any real affect . Now, the only sound of humming heard in my bathroom is from me as I shear through that growth!
It comes with short and long eyebrow cutting attachments and a cleaning brush. As my ...

Advantages: Perfect all round light weight tourer. Disadvantages: None
As my wife and I started to have more free time, we decided to take up touring again.
We mistakenly purchased a Shadow as the seat height is low and I am only 5' 9". Big mistake and my wife hated it.
We bought a new NT700V Deauville and were very happy with it. However, I had a few problems with keeping both feet on the ground at lights etc.
For some unexplained reason, we replaced it with a new Shadow Spirit. This only lasted a few months before we went back to another ne NT700V.
For some unexplained reason, I have no problems with both feet on the ground with this one.
This is good because the NT700V is the best light weight tourer I have owned. It has excellent manouvarbility, good acceleration and spped, excellent fuel consumption and probably the most comfortable seat on modern bikes.
All round, an excellent bike ...
