My favourite all time off licencehas to be Oddbins. The staff are always very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their products, and the wines and beers are top notch. They also have an interesting, if limited range of soft drinks such as Fentimans Ginger Brew - The finest ginger beer I've encountered.

The range of beers varies through the year, but the basic range is excellent, including such rare wonders as beer from the Salopian brewery and when the promotions come along, such as the Mad Monk Month the range is fantastic. The Mad Monk promotion featured beers and glasses from all bar one of the trappist breweries - Beer from near heaven!.

The range of wines is always excellent, and again the promotions make it more so - 12 bottles for the price of 10 and suchlike.

The final feather in the cap of excellence is the free tastings that occur most weekends, so you can try before you buy on a varying range of beers, wines and whiskies.

All in all an excellent shop, and an enjoyable one too. I just wish there was one nearer to my home. (but they do do free delivery within a certain distance of the stores for orders of about £50 or more!!)
