Don’t you just wish that you were the bright spark who saw the market for the latest trend, wipes? Couldn’t you just kick yourself that you didn’t think of them first? I mean, look around you everywhere there are wipes! Wipes for this and wipes for that. Wipes for your windows, wipes for your work surfaces, wipes for your pits and your face, (pray that you don’t EVER muddle those two up!!)Tip: Keep the bleach ones in the kitchen and the face ones in the bathroom. Never mix them up!!!

Now I am not by any stretch of the imagination a lazy bod but I do like to make my life easier and if it means spending out a bit more on a product that is going to cut down on chores and give me more free time then I am all for it! So when I came across these Olay wipes, having read about them a few times on here, I thought that I would give them a go.

I have fairly sensitive skin, (like the rest of me!) so I have to be careful of what skin products I buy. To date I have found that Olay (just why did they change the name from Ulay?) products seem to suit me well.To begin with it took me an age to decide whether to buy them or not. I mean six quid did seem a bit steep? But not being one to dither around too long for fear of being suspected of loitering I threw them in my trolley and thought "What the heck, I'm worth it!"

The stylish box, ok the plastic tub then..hmph :o( contains around 30 impregnated small dishcloths, well that’s what they look like to me! You dampen them and then do the usual scrubbing at your face with them. Wring them out in clean water and then use them to rinse your face. Voila! They did make my face feel a little dry and tight but then that is the norm for me whatever I use so it wasn’t really a problem. Just slop the Oil of Olay face cream on straight after and I was all peachy smooth again! And they do get rid of mascara so no more waking up looking like a giant panda!

To conclude:
In my opinion they are a little too dear for everyday use. It is much cheaper to use the foaming facial wash, again by Olay on a daily basis. I would use these wipes after a night out when I really couldn’t be bothered (or couldn’t focus, ahem!!) to wash off the remains of a great night out. And as I seem to be having less and less of these as I get older..altogether now, aarrrrr! I can see that these are going to last me quite a while. So maybe they are not going to work out all that expensive to me after all.?!!

I have to go now and put my thinking cap on and see if I can think of another product that will benefit from being turned into yet another wipe?? A wipe that will wipe away an overdraft? One that will wipe off all your mortgage interest? One for argumentative teenagers?
Sigh…..where shall I start??
Kazzie!!

Very funny op! What about a wipe that will wipe away that hangover...now theres an idea (I am applying for a patent as I speak!!!).

Terric op - and let me know if you get those inventions into production! Seriously though the 'wipes' trend is lousy for the environment creating much more waste to dispose of... however I'm as guilty as anyone, especially for the cleaning ones which are much less hassle than smelly cloths.
